If I boost and need a clutch I would go with Mantic. The only problem I have not seen many people here with it. You pay for a quality piece, I hate puck style or harsh clutches for a street car.
Well, let us know your impressions of the Mantic.

I would’ve gotten a Mantic but several people have mixed results with it after I spoke with them

I have not personally used a Mantic, but they have the same basic problem as the RST/RXT. They are only 9.5in in diameter and to handle any abuse you have to go with the ceramic version which is not great on the street. They ARE sprung hub which is great and I think they have a better pressure plate than Mcleod and that may make them a bit better.

I see. I think they are rated to up to 1000hp though? I wish I could find more data on the people who have used it. I think Centerforce is rated at about 1K too.

I previously had a Vengeance Stage 2 with my MT82. After break in it was smooth as butter…

Only problem was my MT82 died about 1000 miles after Vengeance was installed

@HAVOC_5.0 doesn't post here much, but he's at near 1000whp on a Mantic and loves it. He came over from C6's to the Mustang platform and he was a big fan of them. He absolutely LOVES the Mantic on his current build. He is currently thinking about switching to a powerglide. If he does, I will be snapping up his used Mantic for mine.

Still pondering a whipple but curious if adding it to a 6 spd street driven car adversely effects drivability? I assume a factory clutch will need to be replaced but the Tremac 3160 should be sufficient correct? Is it difficult driving a whipple boosted manual car on the street smoothly?
i currently have twin turbos on my 22. I had a whipple on my 2019 gt. both are very streetable. you wont notice the boost under 4k. Daily driving is very normal until you get on it.

I thought the benefit of a PD blower was that there was boost pretty much throughout the RPM range versus the centri where you had to be higher up in the rpm range to get the boost benefit. Not that 4K is high RPMs for these motors.

My main point being if you drive it like a normal person, its not really noticable. But when you hammer it, shit gets real!!!hahaha

Under say 60% throttle (depends on rpm and gear) the car will drive exactly like stock. No supercharger will make boost while the engine is making vacuum.

the biggest difference will be if you put a clutch like the RXT in and then you have to deal with that twitchy shit
I have the rxt 1200 in my 17 and no “twitchy “ issues on any of my clouds.. those “twitchy “ issues mostly are user error

Nice. Question, why does everyone go with the RXT? I know for the S197 the Mantic clutches were excellent at holding good amount of torque and still being smooth. For the S550 I hear the Centerforce are great since its an organic clutch so its smooth for slipping and still holds around 900ish whp.
Plenty of people having problems with the sprung hub on the manotice. Why I went with the cloud rxt 1200 in my calmer stage 3 trans.
