Folks, got 2 questions.
1) is this alignment of the headlight is correct? It's practically sitting on the bumper however on the top there is a gap between hood and headlight and between front fender upper part and the headlight
2) if this alignment is not right - how to adjust headlight assembly to sit properly? I see only one bolt holding the headlight (on the top).

I think the gap on the upper side is per the design. Mine along with all of the other ones I've seen look like that.

Alignment advice

I picked my 2015 GT up and didn't notice any issues. I began noticing alignment problems where the drivers side rear panel meets the bumper. The bumper itself bulges slightly in one area too, sticking out slightly over the quarter panel. The gap between the trunk and this same drivers side panel is less than the passenger side. If not for the first mentioned issue,I would have overlooked third trunk gap. The rest of the car, including its imperfections I can deal with. I was going to have this gap looked at during an appointment tomorrow set to deal with dash/door/suspension rattles and squeaks. Detailing it today I noticed another issue on the same panel. There is an uneven spot or slight bend in the metal under the paint, almost looks like a slight dip in the metal. No issue with the paint..just how it reflects because the dimple is there. This dimple is just in front of where the deck wing on the trunk overlaps the body panel under it. So basically this dimple is facing up. This is the same body panel that is misaligned with the bumper.

Is it possible that the dealer or Ford tried to align the bumper and body panel and put so much stress on the body panel that after driving 500-700 miles the body panel rippled? This dimple area is facing up and just an 8th of an inch from the trunk lid.

I am very worried. I'm afraid that the dealer will tell me they can't do anything with the panels. I am also concerned that the "fix" to align the panels will create more issues like this dimple. Finding this dimple is adding to my anxiety. To me the only way to fix something like that is body filler and paint. Body work doesn't scare me, but bad auto body locations do. I chose this dealer because they sell more Fords than any other dealer In the state....not because their auto body shop is the best. It could be, but I can't find any reviews online, so I'm worried. I just don't have time to fight Ford or a Dealer to make them make things right.

Any advice? I really do love this car.

That's an alignment of the passengers door.
The door is closed BTW :)

Now it is open. I don't think I can stick a piece of paper in there.

That looks HORRIBLE!!!

How could Ford let it leave the factory like that!!!? Someone on that assembly line ought to be embarrased and needs to be fired!!!

Let's not forget my pictures, mine also has dimples and creasing in both doors, looks like waves and a huge crease in the driver's side front fender.

I have arbitration scheduled for 5/4, an arbitrator is supposed to look at my car. Thankfully Florida has a great Lemon Law.

Well I got my car back. Looks like the only thing they got to line up properly was the hood. The trunk is still off and the rear quarters where they meet the rear bumper are still off. I also have creases/waves in the hood trunk and driver door that they said were fixed but are still clearly there.

How are they going to fix creased panels? Only way I know is using fillers and I don't want them used on my new car. People ask me what happened to my new car *frusty*.

They had a paintless dent removal guy go at all the spots but they're still there. It made it better but not perfect. Only thing I would accept is new parts from ford I wouldn't want my body panels painted because I know they won't match ruby red. This whole process is a nightmare [emoji58]

Alignment issues more difficult as thought.

Keep Jeff from Ford Service informed. As far I know and the body shop said, people who have the rear window problem (sunken in at the driver side) their is no way to fix all these issues (left side trunk lid, door, window, fender, hood alignment) in the body shop with only adjusting.

Information so far from him?
"There is more to it than only a quarter panel because the whole left side of the car has a problem. I don't know if this problems are only alignment issues or it comes from the frame it self. Honestly? Without cutting out the quarter panel to take a look closer on what is going on at the rear end - there isn't more I can do. And we do not have a place around here to measure out the whole body of the car to make sure where the problem actually is. With that said I honestly can only tweak here and there and that's what FORD is paying me for. ......."
I am more disappointed with this whole car because I thought, maybe like others, who bought the all new 2015 Mustang, that FORD would have paid much more attention to the 50th anniversary Mustang before they leave the factory. That we actually have to run after FORD, that we get a car what would look like a new car and not like a rebuilt - that's mostly frustrating. I am getting this week my car back and we go from there. But I do not have a lot faith after I know what the body shop told me already.

I just bought my car Friday, noticed the hood was not aligned properly. I'm brining it in next Monday to have them look at it. It is disappointing that you pay this much for a car and already have to get it fixed. Hopefully they can handle it.

After reading this thread looked at the rear glass and body of the car and they dont match up either.

They must have a bunch of lazy ass turds overseeing the quality control these days. It'd be nice if someone could go through there with a pad of pink slips. I'll bet that would sober 'em up real quick! :paddle:

I'm sure since they're unionized, they feel invincible.

In overall are those the grounds for replacing the car by Ford or it's not being considered at something serious? In overall I just don't want the car to be assembled once again by the shop. I just want the properly assembled car in the first place :)
