Hmmmm... Mine dented the first time I jacked up the car with them. Sold them, though, and replaced with the BMR low profile. Not had any "denting" or "folding" issues with the BMR, so far, and I've used them several times. I do like the longer length when I'm working on the back end of the vehicle. Nothing against Steeda. They make some great kit. Just have had better luck with the BMR low profile jacking rails.

YMMV...
That's interesting, considering the material is EXACTLY the same. These are a set we took off a customers car just this week as he wanted to save some weight. Even our full length units are 17% lighter.

Might I also suggest not using the "teeth" of the jacking plate on the flat section of the rail as that is what ultimately caused the dent.

Your assumption and implication are neither correct nor appreciated, TJ.

I have only 1 floor jack with "teeth", as you call them, and it won't even FIT under the car with the dish attached. I guarantee I lifted with the FLAT PLATE of the jack. Ya think I'm an idiot?

Interesting. So many others have replaced their Steedas with BMR to lower the car's center of mass.

Has anyone calculated what percent of weight the Steeda jacking rails are over NO jacking rails?

Mpotter - that was Steeda Tech and not TJ - don’t take offense, we are here to offer support and that’s exactly what Steeda Tech was offering with his feedback and response.

Additionally, I will note out of the 1000s we have sold that we have an instance of one customer reporting that he has experienced a potential issue with his jacking rails upon first use with denting.

May I ask where you purchased your set from and did you let anyone know that you had experience an issue via Steeda or another company - we would have been happy to look into what may have taken place as this isn’t an issue we experience.

Please let me know.

How long did shipping take for anyone who ordered the BMR rails? I ordered last weekend and received the confirmation Monday of my order, but no shipping details. I’ve been emailing them all week and no response.

I ordered mine from American Muscle and it took a little over a week total. They’re frequently out of stock (I was checking twice a day til I saw them available), so I’m not surprised they haven’t shipped yet. I’m really happy with them though, it’ll be worth the wait.

The full-length one has a little more surface area for jacking - they are the full-length version and are manufactured with the ability to keep costs lower - they both mount in the same location.

Also, this customer did a nice write-up & comparison between two.

I've been using my jacking rails to set the jack stands on as well. Not sure if that was the wrong way all along after watching that video a page or so back. Works good and I haven't been crushed yet so I guess that's positive.
