Took off my 2018 Mustang after 3,000 Miles when I went through Buy Back.
$100. Buyer pays shipping but Should be cheap as itās light. Located In Houston.
Been meaning to circle back and provide the outcome of my situation. I have now completed the process and can share my experience going via BBB which is definitely different.
History
Purchased in Oct 2018 with 500 miles on it new
Tick started at 1,800 miles (1,300 since purchase).
Took it to...
repurchase meaning refund. Not the replace option. So their formula is all miles (-100 for some reason) divided by 100k x purchase price. Yet the Texas LL is divided by 120k to first issue, then 50% for miles after that. Ball park, the BBB reduction is double what the LL would be.
I only...
Hereās where the BBB posts the Ford Manufacture Program. When I call and speak to my BBB rep, they just point to this, as the agreed program between BBB and Ford. If you click Texas and then the PDF it comes up. Funny they also link to Texas LL right below it, but donāt discuss it with...
Thanks Cobra Jet. I hope youāre right, as the deduction is about double using the BBB paperwork formula. Even asking BBB, they state the Manufacturers program is what is followed, and itās the form showing the BBB formula. The part that worries me, is that before Ford will send out a...
I requested a buyback in January, after 4 visits for the engine ticking/knocking noise. Across the visits, they had the vehicle 38 days. The first visit was with an OD under 2,000 miles, and before any TSB/SSM about noises and oil changes. As I assumed would be the case, Ford rejected my...
how many miles did you lose the 1.5 quarts? I had a similar Blackstone report, and outlined Iād lost 3 quarts over the 5k miles. Ford is now tracking my oil usage.
Anyone know why the pricing has been up to today 9/4? Iāve checked a few times while considering it, and wondering why itās always stated this date?
Maybe prices go up tomorrow?
This is my frustration. Iām telling them Iāll accept there is a ātickā but you NEED to listen to my issue. They throw TSBās at me and say itās normal and sounds like all the others. Iām thinking my only option to get them to listen is to file lemon and let them direct me to a dealer, who they...
Actually Ford did the oil change and confirmed these sounds are perfectly normal characteristics of the engine. They printed off all the notes saying itās normal and nothing to worry about. They even claimed it sounded the same as other mustangs they have on the lot.....What a joke.
After...
Agree. The last one said it occurs after an oil change. Many, including myself had the feature appear within weeks of driving the car off the lot.
I just hit 5,000 miles, so taking it in for itās first oil change. Although mine burned 3 qts in first 3500 miles. Iām the last 1500 burned only...
Iāve owned many Canadian cars, and Iāve never saw one that has Miles for odometer. The speedometer and odometer are both Km.
The good news is you have a lot less āmilesā on the car then what the odometer reads as itās km. Divided it by 1.609 to get the mileage.
My tick started before 1,000 miles on factory oil. Many others report the same so I donāt think thereās anything special about the factory fill, other than some reported with less than 10 qts.
In another thread I posted the BlackStone lab results from my factory oil.
If it was blow by causing it to be dark, wouldnāt Blackstone have picked up fuel?
Gonna wait till 5k miles and let them change oil, open filter and start tracking. Iāll ask if they can do a compression test at the same time.
Terrible to imagine if I wasnāt checking my oil. At 5,000 miles...
