That's why I kept my Escape as a spare car. No doggies are allowed in or near the Mustang.

If that was one of my German Shepherds the pizza would be gone :)

Funny thing. Stella loves pizza at home but when I’m out with her she won’t eat anything. I can put a slice in front of her and tell her “go ahead” and she just won’t eat it. Not sure why but that’s how she rolls

My winter beater is also my dog car. I can't imagine how much work it would be to vacuum up all of the shedding out of the back seat. However, at full gallop she does resemble the pony emblem.

The Mustang is my daily and the 60 lb boxer goes to work with me every day. Over the years she's gone from having the entire hatch of a gti, to the back seat of an Accord, and now her own custom back seat of a Mustang lol. Using a CM Components RSD with a dog bed that I bought from Amazon. Just trimmed the foam a bit and she's got a flat, cushioned platform.

Edit: just realized the dog bed isn't in this picture. This is just a thick blanket I had down until the bed came in. I'll have to grab an updated picture.

I built a "delete" just for the dog. Slips in and out when I need it. This is him testing it out, before i put the cover and bed in. He's about 70lbs.

Do you pick him up to put him in or does he get in on his own without scratching the crap out of your door sills? haha

I have to put her in the backseat, but she gets out by herself by getting into the floorboard before jumping out. She tried to jump out one time with her front feet on the floorboard and rears still on the backseat....she caught the seatbelt on the way out and did a faceplant. She won't do that again lol

I've put some PPF (paint protection film) on the door sills, and also on the armrest (she likes to put her paws there and lean out of the window, though I'm working on getting her to not do that as the police don't like it, and I'm sure it may be distracting to other drivers with half of her sticking out of the window), and maybe I'll add it to one or two more places too. You can see the PPF clearly, but it doesn't look too bad IMO.

So far it seems to be holding up fine, though I don't yet know if I will be able to steam it off without damage when I need to replace it eventually.

I've always been kind of against dogs, especially in my vehicles (you can chastise me later for being a bad person for not liking dogs, yada yada).
But, wife got a Spanish greyhound, granted, they're skinny, but super flimsy. With a nice seat cover, he very comfortably made a 1,000-mile each way (OH to ND) trip and back without much issues. Except when he had a bad treat and gassed the s*it out of that small interior. Seriously. Be prepared to hit that window down button QUICK.

I did have some cleaning to do after him in terms of paw prints, etc., but nothing bad at all.

I just lay a towel over the sill and he climbs right in.
