Maybe if dealers got rid of ridiculous mark ups they could sell these cars before thieves get a chance to steal them.

ADM does not benefit anyone at all, except the selling Dealers pocket. ADM is not even a Ford sponsored increase, it's solely added by the selling Dealership. ADM also is not recoverable through a Ford Lemon/Buy Back claim, because it was never a line item on the original Window Sticker.

I wonder why they cannot just track the vehicles with the ford pass app like us owners can do. My dealership has the ability to enable a dealer version of the ford pass app so they can monitor battery state of charge of all vehicles on the lot as well as see what the fuel level is and locations via the onboard GPS.

Unless the thieves have pulled fuses or disabled the gps systems the cars can be tracked.

Seems like the GT500 is one of the more poached cars as there are always links to news articles on them being stolen. Usually from the plant itself.

I would be very surprised if the Ford Pass app would actually work. These guys were smart enough to disable security cameras, steal two very high-end cars from a showroom AND all the other keys to the cars on the lot.

These things went into a trailer immediately and as they were being driven out of town had the battery disconnected and a full lowjack / apple airtag sweep prior to getting too far down the road.

You don't steal 200k worth of cars without taking into account support / logistics and a route of egress.

I just called the dealer, and they were tracking the cars via the ford pass dealer app and was told that one of the GT500s was wrecked Monday in a head on and was totaled. The driver was seen walking away from the vehicle and being picked up by another vehicle. Still have not recovered the other 500.

Wonder why they both state the color as blue when first is certainly not blue but rather FJG. Also do not see any painted stripes in the HE.
