Ordered the kit last week and after some shipping delays got it all swapped in on Sunday. Optimum thanks for taking care of the shipping issues quickly, you're a stand up guy

I have had AMSoil Synchromesh in for the last 8,000 miles. The Synchromesh had improved most of the shifting issues I had with the OEM fill and I also did an MGW shifter when I did the AMSoil. However, it still was a little notchy going in and out of 2nd from either direction.

So I decided to pull the trigger on this kit. I did the 140w in the rear diff since I live in AZ and we regularly hit 115 degrees this time of year. Kit was packed nicely and came with everything needed for a fast, easy swap. Changed it all out in about an hour, despite it being 113 outside.

The BG fluid has made the shifting even smoother yet. 2nd is much smoother over the AMSoil. 5th still has a little notch sometimes, but that is better also.....so glad I did it.

The car is NIGHT and DAY from what it was with the stock fill and stock gear shift. I drove my co-workers 2016 with still stock everything and I could not go back to driving it that way on a daily basis.....no way. He wants his warrantys though and won't change anything out.....told him its his suffering not mine, enjoy his notchy MT-82 and heavy @ss clutch spring....

bravohankins have you let him drive yours so he knows what he's missing??? i can't imagine not having those 2 upgrades either. now that i know, i think it would almost be painful to drive a stock one

I'm kinda thinking of doing the 90w for the rear end. If ford does the 85 for efficiency. I'm curious to see if I can get my car to throw a warning light on the bg oil. Im.also now curious about the rear end cooler.

LOL first two things we did was a shifter (Barton) and rip out the spring. Fluid change came after but they all work really well to make the car much more enjoyable. You don't even need a neck brace to make a slow 1-2 shift.

Lots of great feedback here. I think I'll swap my tranny's RP fluid out for the BG stuff the next time I change my oil.

A thread in the Road Racing section one of our Customers made three laps before the light came on with the factory fluid. I think he made it 8 with the 90W BG. This is what prompted us to offer the 140 which seems to stop the warning. Again, only a 2016 3.73 issue. Ignorance is bliss for us with 2015 Models :D

Cooler should be progressing more rapidly by first part of September. The biggest challenge is the feedback / information I'm getting from several members who track their Mustangs regularly which causes me to revisit the design. It's easy when you build your own from parts, it either works or doesn't. For me to sell one it needs to be a complete system that functions otherwise I'm just selling you a bunch of parts and taking your money.

I can't see any reason to do one before the other. But doing both at the same time would save one lift, cleanup, etc..

Just finished changing out my stock fluid with the BG Syncro Shift II. I purchased the kit a while ago and was one of the people who received 3 separate quarts instead of the single 2.8 liter jug. I used all 3 quarts without an overflow from the fill hole. I found that the pump left a couple ounces at the bottom of each quart. After I emptied two of the quart containers into the the third I had approximately 6 ounces left. If my math is right, that is just a few ounces over the 2.7 quarts that Ford lists so I should be good.

First impressions? Wow.... This fluid rocks compared to stock!! :headbang: The notchy 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are all but gone. In fact, it has completely changed the way this transmission feels. I can't wait to see how it feels after I install the MGW shifter. Big thumbs up  to Tommy at Optimum Performance for making this available to us.

I believe all the Royal Purple and Amsoil die hard fans should really give this product a try. I think they will be reluctantly surprised! :D

You should be right on with 6oz (close enough) the cup is marked out at about 7oz. left over. 3qts.-2.7qts = 9.6oz. We shoot for 7oz left over to account for whats left in the pump etc. 6oz. vs 7 vs. 10 is like spitting in a pool as far as how it effects the level in the transmission.

Take two identical glasses and fill one with 6oz of water and place it next to one with 10oz and you will understand what we mean. Think of the surface area inside the transmission. #6thGradeScienceClass :)

Happy the BG Syncro Shift II worked as advertised!

Just installed this today, and I have to say, the instructions were right on the money. This had to be the simplest, most pain free work I've done on my car. Nothing unexpected, just smooth. Thanks!

I can't say enough how worthwhile the kit is. Maybe you can get the oil cheaper elsewhere, but this was totally worth it.

Any like everyone else says, it REALLY smooths out the shifts, especially 1-2. I highly recommend it.

I changed my mt82 oil this weekend and im amazed by the results. I wasnt expecting such a big improvement! I was actually kinda doubtful about this product but i was so wrong.
I have a quick question. Is my shifting this smooth because the fluid is new? Did you guys noticed any decrease in smoothness over time? I want it to shift this way forever lol
