Looks like exactly what I’m wanting!
2” or 1 7/8” primary? 3” collector?
Headers and free flowing mid pipe into stock exhaust.
Any issues on install or NVH issues after living with this setup?
Thanks.

Headers are 2" x 3". Header install on these cars are not for the faint of heart. Takes time and patience. I have zero issues living with this setup. Cheers, Eric

Just wondering if there is a consistent best choice for our cars?
I know the usual suspects but have never bought a set of S550 headers.
Thanks.

The old saying definitely is true with performance mods, cheap is not always better and you get what you pay for. I would say any quality header costing over $1300+ is pretty safe as a good quality header. Good Luck

in track mode is menacing but in my opinion very tolerable.
Kooks is the direction I'm going, had a friend do ARH on his 350 and they had clearance issues, believe they eventually resolved it but Ill stick to kooks. I do want to keep or add in better resonators.

You have any sound clips of this?

No sound clips, but I'll get some.

Had a reputable shop tell me to wait until they install some Ultimate Headers next week. He feels they may be superior to the Kooks.
I’ll report back.

I think he’s right. I say thst because I have Ultimate Headers and I installed them myself. I don’t like the ball and socket flange connection from the collector to the mid pipe on the Kooks. They can bend and cause sealing issues IMO. I think I’d rate header manufacturers in this order:

- Ultimate Headers (slip fit and utilizes 321 stainless steel in their design and the other’s don’t)

- Corsa Headers (uses a 4 bolt flange at the collector, which will pull down more evenly than the two bolt design on Kooks)

- American Racing Headers (slip fit)

- Kooks Headers

If Kooks changed that collector design, they would easily be in the top three.

I have a few buddies in the custom exhaust biz and they absolutely despise Kooks canted ball & socket collector design, the off vertical plane collector connection is the issue when customers refuse to purchase the Kooks canted header connection pipes. Any custom Exh. fabricator would prefer true vertical plane collector placement.
As far as Kooks primary layout, bend quality and fitment it’s absolutely as good as it gets !

Whichever ones you get if you're adding cats make sure they are high quality. Kooks Green Cats fit this category. Substandard aftermarket cats tend to get blown out by our cars.
