I believe, as of now, Steve is running cat delete on stock manifolds/headers.You running 1 7/8 or 2 inch? I am also looking for recommendations. Thanks.
Good point. I will say, on my 2017 GT with 2.9 Whipple, I saw a solid 30 RWHP doing hearers on same car, same day, same tune. 30 RWHP is nothing to sneeze about, but it comes at a good cost, and fair amount of labor.Headers are not necessary unless you are looking for max effort stock blower. Stock manifolds flow very well...just do a cat delete pipe (race pipe). The cost vs gains aren’t worth it unless you want all the power available from the 2.65 lol.
my thoughts...

Exactly my point above...$2500-$3000 for headers installed for 30-40whp doesn't sound right to me, unless you have done all other mods and want that last little bit of power...which I have done before lolI damn sure wouldn't want to change the stock headers, what a PITA and a 2-post would almost be required me thinks. Much easier and probably cheaper ways to get a bump with this motor. Those new CAI's are enticing (and easy.) <grin>
Maybe I had a leak or something on my last car. I just remember smelling exhaust right at my door and out the back.
I guess it's best to eliminate the cats if I'm gonna eventually push the hp up on the car.

Likely 20-30hp gain regardless of psi, but air in, air out. Im on stock manifolds for now and plan on 2" when i do it.Good point.
