Well I run this setup, along with Kooks LT's and I know for sure I GAINED using a flex tune when I am running E85. Now even when I am on 93 I gained over the stock setup. Also I have had warranty work done. Yes my engine pooped the #3 and #7 rods thru the blocked. Was it a pain ? Yes in a way, but in the end, the tune was proven NOT TO BE THE ISSUE and I still have my warranty...(Well until June).

So I am still running strong with a 19 in my my17 and the ability to run 93 or e85 is still worth it IMO.

a *Flex Tune* with negligible gains
Wait, what? Dedicated E85 gives more power overall (earlier hit on timing advance), but peak for peak you ain't gonna see much of a gain between the two. Also unless you test the E85 from the pump, you really don't know what your getting.

Correct a dedicated E85 tune, not a flex tune as stated previously. Just to clarify my reference was to a flex tune with zero mods... there appears to be a large disconnect of misinformation about flex tunes on cars that are fresh off the lot that haven’t been farted in creating this incredible power with a E85 Flex tune. #seatofthepantsdyno

Well HO-LEEEEE SHIT BOYS. Got the headers on today flashed the FLEX tune and logged the 93 stuff. E85 tomorrow hopefully. I must say I was completely blown away by how much power and torque she picked up. I honestly was not expecting that much. It's night and day different. Took my buddy for a ride who is doing his car right now in parallel and he couldn't believe it either. Corbin at Johnson tuning is an evil genius.

Car still sounds amazing, it also has the LTH resonator delete. Its loud but not crazy loud. Some might think so depending on your taste. Definitely MUCH louder outside the car than inside. Catless would be insane loud. In quiet mode it still quiet as a church mouse so neighbor friendly. I still cannot believe the difference. Coming from the Hellcat community I'm very impressed. When I first tuned and modified the Cat it was faster but not as noticeable as this. To be fair Hellcats are very torquey and fast from the get go so it's harder to discern in my opinion. The first time I tuned it I picked up about 120whp. This in theory on 93 picked up 55whp and lots of low end torque. A Johnson tuned stock GT350 picked up 50ft lbs at 2500 rpm. (See above video) This should be more with the headers and intake. I'd have to review the Fathouse 600R car this is modeled off to see how much it should have gained. But wow...... Maybe one day I'll dyno it for giggles.

Very very impressed also really like the HP Tuners set up coming from a Diablo Trinity. Could not be happier. Looking forward to getting the E85 done and taking her for a long RIP this weekend.

Here are some picks of the headers during install. The Stainless works are beautiful pieces. Aslo pretty cool how modular they are. You can see the high flow cats there clamped up. I have the catless pipe as well. A swap would be about 5 mins. Kinda cool.

A lil update:

Got the E85 in the car and all tuned. Johnson tuning is great to work with and I have nothing but good things to say. After the first 93 pull Corbin texted and said "this is a strong car." Now that's what you like to hear from your tuner. We put the E85 in her and did pulls. I think we did 3 or 4 revisions fine tuning it and what a monster she is now!

Took her up to the NC mountains. 2.5 hours up with some highway and good roads. 2.5 hours back. Got some good pulls and the top end is phenomenally better than before. I remember thinking the car kinda layed over when you start getting into the triple digits much past 120 coming from big power forced induction cars. Not anymore...she pulls.

Met a group of friends to drive Diamondback (226A). GREAT ROAD! Car sounds unbelievable, better low end torque and had no trouble keeping pace with a ZL1 or a Hellcat Wide body accelerating out of corners. Unfortunately after doing the route a few times I had to head back to SC before we could line them up on the highway. Also the E85 sauce was depleted! Closest station was 64 miles from our start point. Filled up on 93 and drove home. Love that flex capability.

Some fun facts. E85 I get 14mpg highway cruising. 93 Octane is in the low 20s....23 or 24 if I recall. Most pump stations around here gas is actually E80 which isn't bad. Flex tune really reads between E10 (pump 93) and E65 so I can put 12 gallons of the corn and 4 gallons of 93 and still make max power which is nice. Less trips to the E85 pump to fill VP racing jugs and in theory (though I have not tested yet) slightly better fuel economy. So far I've only run pure E85 and pump. First time really blending at all on the way home. Probably had a couple gallons of E when I filled up to drive home. Interesting to watch the AFR adjust as the fuel changes. 14.0 at idle on pump. Pure E85 supposedly 9.85 but I was seeing 10.0. I also think the car is louder on 93 than the corn and it has more violent burbles and pops. Still loud as hell on the corn but I swear it's quieter. Everyone commented on how beastly she sounds.

Could not be happier with the car. Still a mountain carving track weapon now just a little more beastly. It's perfect.

Awesome photos, looks like a great ride with awesome company. Did you dyno the new combination?

Nah I might one day for the hell of it but I'm not a big dyno kinda guy with the wide variations from conditions, dyno type etc... Dyno'd my Hellcat first time it was modded only because it was dyno tuned to start. I also find that the same combo on the same car produces well.....basically the same result. This car is the same build down to the tuner as the FathouseFab 600R package. They made 530whp so I expect the same-ish. Good enough for me. The proof is in the driving.

If I ever dyno it for laughs I'll be sure to post the results here. There is a dynojet local that is 80 bucks for two pulls. Maybe if I'm bored one day but not a priority.
