I have the Thinkware F800 Pro front and rear, hardwired to the interior fuse box so it's all neat and tidy and works perfectly fine.

it's a good camera, still fairly expensive but if I were to spend a bit more I'd probably have looked at Blackvue or maybe even the 4k Thinkware cameras

Where did you store the battery pack?
@Soulja4187 I haven't yet, the website link below shows it on the side of the center console. Not sure I like that, but I think there are options. Some of the folks have used the glove box, under the seat, etc. I will look at my options at the time of install and figure it out. I'll be sure to post pics and where I did.

I've considered getting a dash cam but figure with my driving habits it's more likely to be used against me than be helpful.
Just remove the speed mark from the video breadcrumbs 😆
And, is case of nessesity to use the video as a proof, do the proper mastering and trimming of the earlier bad behaviours 😅😅😅

... think it might be wise to get one after seeing some of the videos clips of dumb drivers and experiencing a few of same.
I've had a few, and none of them seem to really good enough to read license plates. But I had an accident years ago where some numbnuts turned in front of me, and I T-boned him. I had the green, he had the red, but he claimed otherwise. Fortunately there was a witness that stopped, so I won the battle. If not for the witness, it would have been he said/he said, and I'd be SOL on the insurance claim.

SInce then, I've had dash cams.

Thinkware U1000. You can't beat this thing. If you are looking at getting a dashcam then you want the best. 4K front and 2K rear at the same time. Parking modes and optional radar to increase parking modes time ie. reduce it's power usage while the car is off. Has great support and fairly easy to use and install.

Worst thing is it's almost one of the most expensive. But it's also the best Dash Cam for 2020. Check out blackboxmycar.com .

I do have to agree with you. That dash cam is one of the best and I agree that it can be expensive. Thinkware does have their own refurbished store but I haven't seen the U1000 hit there yet.

I have been running the Thinkware F770 (dual channel) for several years now without issue.

The design allows for discrete and neat installation which in no way impedes the driving view.

When it comes time to upgrade, I'll probably get the Thinkware U1000 as the cabling used is identical to that supplied with the F770, so I'll just be able to swap the cameras out without messing with the cables.

Do you have a pic of it mounted to your windshield? It seems quite large.

I have a Rexing V1LG in my Mustang. It has internal GPS, with dual camera. Mine is hard wired into the car, and it works great. What surprised me is that I have near limo tint on my rear window, and it sees right through it.

When my wife got rear end last month in the Mustang the cam caught it all. Time stamped the impact with GPS and speed. Also a few swear words my wife uttered in Tagalog.

Using a GO Pro Hero 9 has served well in a dual purpose role. I just spin around the suction cup mount sometimes to operate like a dash cam.
