  1. Best Mustang Insurer

My EcoBoost renewal through Adrian Flux is coming up at £1,300 with all mods declared and up to 10,000 miles per year. If I just do a simple comparison site search without mods it comes up at £960. Problem is, I don't want to spend ages on the phone to another company going through all the...
  2. Ecoboost tune/cobb

Hey, I haven't done any tuning to the car (not yet at least :cwl:). I have done all the supporting mods such as intercooler, exhaust, k&m panel filter. So it's only really the tune that would be needed now tbf I saw your reply in the IC forum, I find it to be pretty good although it has been...
  3. New Rear Calipers

I didn't order from Levittown Ford in the end, I just got what I needed from Tasca, I should have probably got discs too but they turned out to be fine.
  4. New Rear Calipers

I wouldn't worry about that, it's a related issue lol But yeah I got the OEM ones, fingers crossed they last longer than the last pair :cwl:
  5. New Rear Calipers

They're still working fine thankfully, still have a solid handbrake and no advisories on the MOT this year. I think the rear calipers are the same as the GT, the part numbers seem to list both models in the fitment info on Tasca parts.
  6. Intercooler selection

Upgraded mine yesterday, although being in the UK I used a company based here called Airtec. Their design was taller and went Infront of the AC condenser.
  7. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

And high  Sits a fraction lower than the support bar which it replaces at the bottom, sits in front of the AC condenser instead of directly underneath, which iv now found out needs replacing due to corrosion, but that can be a problem when it's hot again 😂
  8. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Last week I took the car to a local exhaust shop, £120 for a resonator delete, the car already had aftermarket mufflers but just wanted a little bit more volume. Im undecided whether I actually like it or not due to the drone around 2,000rpm. If not then at least I still have the factory...
  9. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Decided to change the gearbox oil as I seem to have done everything else lately :cwl: not sure if it's placebo or the fact that the original oil would be on 67,000 miles anyway but it does feel a bit smoother in fairness.
  10. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Yeah, I think nearly everyone has ring style cameras/doorbells now don't they. Being kicked around on tarmac roughs up the edges don't it, first pic is where the sun is shining to highlight it most, vinyl softer than paint ain't it. At least the spoiler looks good so worked out well in the...
  11. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

It was here on the bootlid, maybe I could have tried heating up the wrap to see if it would come out but luckily covered now.
  12. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Next doors kid hit the car with a football resulting in a bit of a scuff on the vinyl stripes of the boot. Luckily it happened on the morning that my new spoiler was delivered so this covers the incident. They have also apologised and offered to make it right, but I'd ordered the spoiler anyway...
  13. New Rear Calipers

Finally complete, nice to have a working handbrake again that ain't pointing towards the sky and still rolling. it did also need a bit of adjustment underneath. Now to decide what to do with the calipers that have came off, it will be too much hassle to ship them back to Tasca parts...
  14. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

I'll keep that in mind when the dirt builds up and carbon builds up around the inner lip , much better than the chromed look tbf, I'm glad they turned out well because it would be a pain to polish them back up again lol.
  15. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Aside from new water pump, coolant, rear calipers, pads and brake fluid. I took a tip from WD Pro's build thread and gave my stainless exhaust tips a brushed appearance using some Spontex scrubbing pads.
  16. New Rear Calipers

I got a wire brush on the hub section, used some surface cleaner, taped up and then sprayed. I didn't do the outter edge unfortunately, was trying to be quick, was really hot and nose was dripping all over the place :cwl: I'll touch up the caliper carrier tomorrow.
  17. New Rear Calipers

Finally got around to doing it all today, all worked out pretty well tbf, handbrake is now much better and actually holds the car, was quite hot today and my hayfever was being horrific while trying to get it done. Ended up needing a new water pump too since mine was leaking, that was another...
  18. New Rear Calipers

Maybe the part numbers are colour related then, they all looked pretty much the same, I always thought we get a lot of PP parts thrown in on UK Mustangs anyway because I swear our 2.3's get the same 4 pots as the US base GT and UK GT's get the PP 6 pot Brembo's standard? (If I'm right?) But then...
