Has anyone changed out their OEM brake pads for a performance brand, and if so, what brand did you go with? Thanks!

No such thing as 'best' here. Best for expected usage is really the best you can hope for.

At minimum you need to describe your car's usage (street-only? drag racing or autocross? road course track time? spirited drives through the mountains?). Would noise or dust or aggressive rates of rotor wear be deal-breakers? What about price?

I happen to like the lower levels of Carbotech and G-loc, for reasons involving 'bite', temperature resistance (some track time here), and gentleness on the rotors. Downsides are dust, some noise, and probably for many people price.

I was less happy with Hawk (HPS doesn't have enough 'bite' to suit me personally - really not any better than stock, and HP+ was causing severe rotor wear.

You see, even within the same brand there are choices to be made.

You said "performance" so I assume you mean track pads...

Not in any particular order:
1. G-Loc
2. Carbotech
3. Ferodo
4. Pagid
5. Raybestos
6. Hawk (DCT line only. HP+ is not a track pad)

Check out KNSbrakes.com as they have all the top brands

Just to be clear, I was referring to Carbotech XP-series and G-Loc R-series for track use.

For cars that don't see track time, CT in 1521/Bobcat and G-Loc in GS-1 are my go-to pads.

I'm using the Raybestos street performance pads, along with their slotted rotors. It has a high initial bite and a temperature threshold of 1200 deg F (equivalent to GLOC R8). While it's not a full track pad, it could be used and would be great for autocross and street. They do not make any noise unlike GLOC pads. I'd put them over the GS-1 (GLOC's street pad) and I'd say they're at least as much bite as the R8. You do not want to use track pads like GLOC/Carbotech unless you want to sound like a school bus on the street.

There are too many variable to give you a concrete answer. Just wait for them to start squeaking and then you'll know to replace them

OEM. For 99.9% of people here they're perfectly fine unless someone need to upgrade to upgrade. Also, they will last you a long time (one that came on your brand new car) - no need to worry about it for few years. Any difference vs OEM is absolutely not worth the price.

How about 99% street use but want less dust...

...is there such a thing?
99% street use with a 350R??? That hurts my soul; get that thing on a track, my man!

I don't know much about non-track products but I hear people like Powerstop pads for street use.
