I am still waiting on my stage 2 Calimer. The 24th it will be two weeks and that's what they said the lead time would be.

I sure hope you get it in the time they said. I know for a while they were struggling to get transmissions from Ford. Mine said a 4-week lead time. I think I got mine after about 13 weeks, when it actually arrived. The wait can be aggravating, but I have to remind myself that I don't want them rushing and forgetting anything either.

Just finished tuning the motor on 93 octane, I still have to finish breaking my motor in and a few oil changes, then I can get to tuning on E85 and then see how this Stage 4 really holds up.

Congratulations on the new trans its exactly what I plan on getting down the road, let us know what u think, best of luck with the car

So far, the only issue I've had is the trans bumping me out of 1st gear on a low-speed takeoff from a stop light. It happened the same day twice, and not since. The only thing I've changed was at a stop light, I throw it in 2nd gear and then into 1st, and it hasn't bumped me out of gear since. I try to make sure I'm really just pushing the shifter into 1st and not accidentally softly pushing it in, and maybe it wasn't fully engaged. Outside of that, everything has been good.

Just so you’re aware, the first video is the shaft play on my stock MT-82 with 50k miles on it. The second video is of a never installed Calimer Stage 4. I contacted them before installing it to make sure everything is ok and they said it is perfectly fine. Go ahead and install it. So if you see this on yours apparently that is ok…..

My Calimer stage 2 arrived yesterday. I have some prep work to do before I start the project.

thanks for the information. I haven't even removed it from the crate yet. I will check the shaft play.

One of my friends here in Houston bought a stage 2 years ago and said his also had some leaking around the input shaft seal and had to turn around and send it back. I didn't have that issue, but something you should keep a look out for as well.

thanks for the information. I haven't even removed it from the crate yet. I will check the shaft play.

At that price point I don't know that I could keep the mt82. $4500+ $750 for the SVE driveshaft and your running a brand new t56. Lot more options for rebuilds and upgrades later too. At least you have the clutch spline ready if it doesn't hold. Hopefully the popping out of gear doesn't keep happening, not a good sign if it does.

They give a warranty?

Really want to get one of these. But I've seen, its spent it time at the drag strip weekly and no issues. And the others like, I was driving and it let loose under normal spirited driving. I will keep an eye on this sub

@16RPG_Turbo what fluid is Calimer recommending in his stage 4 build?

Please keep us posted on how it performs for you, as you begin to put it through its paces.

The stage 2 trans, they sent AMSOIL gear lube. The main shaft will have side play until it is matted to the piolet bearing to hold it in place, that is normal. That is why both the old and new transmission both had the same amount of side play. As far as this transmission popping out of second gear like the old one doesn't make sence because this is a new transmission. The old one has bad syncros and maybe worn second gear.

I believe it is a 6mo warranty. Had I not already had the driveshaft and clutch, I probably would have went the T-56 route. But I decided give this route a shot for now. Hopefully it’s worth the money.
