That’s not what the container says , mine was the 10 oz one , says it treats up to like 5-6 quarts
The bottle is in the garage somewhere , I’d have to go look
I put in 7.75 ish quarts Of oil and the 10oz bottle
Right at the top of the checkered in my dipstick

They come in 300ml bottles, and 10 oz is just under 300ml. Also the 2018 Gen 3 Coyote is 10 litres/qts. I only put in 3 oz. to get my tick to stop.

Can you please tell us where you heard/read this? This is the first time in five years we have ever heard an actual reason for the tick.
Well if you look at the factory oiling system you'll see the #3 is getting the oil at the same rate as #7.

It was a comment on a youtube video I was watching, if I can find it again I will link it, but that's why I said take it FWIW. To me it does sound like a lifter though. Kind of makes sense. Can't imagine someone hasn't tried to track it down with an engine stethoscope though.

People having been trying to diagnose the tick for over 5 years. More if you include pre Gen 3 motors. Nothing definitive has ever been found.

I've been clicking and watching / reading as much as I can to figure this out. Had I read and watched all this stuff before I bought a new one a month ago I probably wouldn't have bought it. Never really worked on any V8 overhead cam motors, but plenty of pushrod V8 motors. We would just run it with the valve cover off and hold each rocker until you felt the one that was making noise. I don't even know if thats possible on the 5L coyote.

yes, a lifter tick on a pushrod V8 at idle is about half the speed of what I've heard from the coyote. But the pushrod motors are 2 valve. 4 valves, with 4 hydraulic lifters would tap at double the rate at idle......potentially.

I understand, my whole point of the Ceratec is to get rid of the tick. If I didn't have the tick I wouldn't even bother with the Ceratec. So in that frame of mind the least amount of the Ceratec I use the better.

Stopped my tick with just the 3 oz., or 100ml. My car was using about 1 qt of oil every 1k miles. I was concerned that if there was something wrong with the engine, you can tell when Ceratec gets added as it changes the color of the oil and Ford would not warranty the engine. So thats why I used just enough to get the tick to go away. Turns out the oil usage was a leaky oil pan.

This is all new to me. Not having the issue, but also don't want to. 1k miles on the new 2022 model. I plan to go full synthetic and how much Ceratec do you put in? One bottle? It can't hurt anything, right?

Why put something in your engine to fix a problem you do not nor may ever have. Those that are doing it have little choice. I’m guessing they would save the money if they had.

See if you get the tick after the first or second oil change. For me it was the 2nd oil change that I got the tick. If you get it just keep adding it until it stops. For me that was just 1/3 of the bottle or 100ml.

The oil spec for your year 5w-30, make sure you put 10qts of that in and don't add the ceratec unless you hear the noise IMO.
