Now I need to see photo's. That price, something seems up. At least I'd be willing to pay more.
The branded title doesn't look appealing to most buyers. Same goes for the no radio/air conditioning option. It's out of warranty and still priced above original MSRP. I believe the price is fair, even negotiable.

I get that, but the buyback happened with Owner 1, appears that the problem, whatever it is, resolved itself, and now it's just a low mileage track ready car.

My use case is much different than most LOL

Contact the dealer and ask for pictures and an Oasis report. If the price and everything else checks out, DO IT!

@WildHorse here’s a Grabber Blue R for you
Back in the Fall of 2016 a friend of mine from Seattle and I ordered our 2017 Base R models with each of us going with a brand-new exterior color for that MY with the other new color being Lightning Blue.

I went with Ruby Red with a painted Black roof and my buddy went with a Grabber Blue model with no painted Black roof and don't recall him ordering OTT stripes either.

With only 3 Base R models ordered in Grabber Blue for 2017 I wonder if this is his old car?

On another note, I have attached a Ford Performance promotional picture taken in the Spring of 2016 and suggest that the Ruby Red Base R in that picture was HR001 and was allocated to Jamal Hameedi with production starting in February 2016 with assembly completing in March 2016.

Received a call in early 2018 that HR001 was being released by Ford and was going to auction therefore to keep my eyes and ears open as there was no way to determine where that car would end up after auction?

Took me a month but I finally located HR001 at a Ford dealership in Indiana and found out that they had it advertised for $90,000 and were advertising it as the 3rd GT350R built for the 2017 MY and that was based on the VIN which ended in "003".

Based on numerous conversations with the dealership they had no idea what they had in terms of being chassis HR001 let alone the only pre-production Base R model built for the 2017 MY.

Never once asked them to send me a picture of the chassis plate as that would have certainly tipped them off with respect to rarity of this vehicle and being the first R model built.

Was going to purchase HR001 but had too many vehicles in my garage at the time therefore reached out to a great friend of mine in Georgia.

Said that he needed to purchase this vehicle but when speaking with the dealership told him to never ask to get a picture of the chassis plate as that would change things significantly.

His response was, what if it is not chassis HR001 after which time I asked him to cross his fingers and trust my judgement and sources.

It all worked out in the end and I took it for a drive after it arrived with Reliable Carriers and it still resides in his cool car corral of Ponies.

Getting back to this rare and elusive 2017 Grabber Blue Base R, the window sticker would not open for me therefore if someone can repost that would be greatly appreciated!

Mark, just to let you and the rest of our members know, this 2017 Shelby GT350R Base model sold within 24 hours of hitting the showroom floor at Heller Chevrolet in El Paso, Ilinois.

Based on my conversation the salesperson confirmed that this vehicle sold for the full advertised amount of $69,962 therefore how good is that!

Wow, that would explain why there’s no pictures on the site. That’s a good price for them with the branded title. Clearly whatever issue the car originally had is no longer a problem considering it’s been through a few owners and is accumulating mileage.

The base model R reminds me of going to prom with the “safe bet” girl-next-door, and then when you get there what do you see, but the hot redhead sitting in the corner all alone…do you dare?!?

no doubt it’s gonna be fun…but you dam well know there WILL be a price to pay 😂

Low 50s for a base R is starting to seem like a deal.
This car was for sale in 2020 for low 50s. It was bought back twice? Do they even do that? Curious to why it was a buy back. I didn't see any information for that.
