Base with Center Stack Aux Gauges

I got an email from svtgt350 and he said it does have the gauges. Good we can put this to bed. They needed to be there. Oil temp and pressure needs to be a constant read out.

Great to hear for Base Model Buyers! I would of been really disappointed if Performance Pack GT had Center Stack Aux. Gauges and a $50K Shelby didn't. Ford made the right call on that one! Although I disagree with Ford's approach of squeezing $6500.00 out of buyers for Magneride and some additional coolers. New Camaro Magneride Option is $1695.00 but base model camaro is $5K more than a GT. Ford is getting the majority of buyers to make this jump which I'm sure was their intent. Ford is the best in the business at getting extra dollars from buyers for options. I'm very Happy with my Base Model decision and 1 year of payments I'll avoid for paying the additional $6500. I will rarely ever track the car and will not be able to reach the limits of the Base Model suspension so I passed. I think 95% of buyers won't test the limits of the base suspension maybe your track regulars. Nothing wrong with those buyers who went track or tech, it will be a cool feature especially if your looking for a more comfortable everyday driver and adjustability for the track.

I won't disagree with base GT350 buyers.... they'll still have one badazz high performing car! Congrats to those that have one already or getting one soon!

And I do agree that the optional pkgs are a bit overpriced but we know this is a for-profit business hence extra cost options is the sweet spot for the manufacturer. Personally I'm happy with choosing the Track pkg because of the seamless MR, those sweet Recaros, and the extra cooling components for my track use.

Btw, don't think Ford is the master of all when it comes to getting extra bucks from customers for options.... I have one word that'll easily trump that.... the manufacturer's name is pronouced as por-sha. Don't ask me how I know.

I think a lot of dealer ordered cars are tech so they can make an extra $806 bucks. One poor guy wasn't allowed to order a base. He said the dealer would not allow it. Yep

Actually, if you price out most of fords option packages, they are right in line with the actual cost, and in some cases complete bargains (IE like the R model)

All of the coolers and corresponding aero tidbits to direct air to them arent as cheap as you think, and you cant really compare the base price alone to GM. .As you stated, their base price is higher, so they are building the cost in and amortizing it via the folks who don't actually click that option. In their case you will pay more for less, in ford's case, you pay for what you get.

If that's the case, couldn't the guy just pay an extra $1k(reasonable) so they could have their profit, and he could have his car?

I don't get the options though. If its not a dd then why the tech pack and if your not going to track the car then why the track pack? Like voodoo said 95% of people will never reach the base suspension limits anyway. I do see however the options for future resale as people just like optioned cars.

Dealer is doing a PDI on it today. Because it Nov 11, all the banks are closed, so no bank draft payment for the Ford Dealer. I will get to drive it on Thursday.
