Does anyone have any experience with the K2 Plug & Play BAP with a stage 2 Whipple set up on a 15-17 car? I understand that it supplies extra voltage at all times, even at low demand such as low load or idling. This is the BAP being recommended to me by my tuner.

Seems that the JMS PowerMax V2 is the more common choice, and has the ability to ramp up additional voltage based on pedal position, along with some other features.

What are your experiences with either?

I have the JMS paired with the factory pump and it supports 639 rwhp with E85 on the bottle. No complaints here and I like that it ramps up the voltage based on throttle position. That Will help the pump live a happier life.

Use the pump command signal to trigger. Gen2 has 2 fuel pressure tables. Hi/ lo. Trigger the BAP off that and its simple to tune and you keep hi/lo benefits with out slamming the pump with high volts 24/7

Roush does this on their phase2 kits. It's a jms BAP. Not pedal or boost controlled. Fuel flow controlled just like stock. Jms for the win.

The stock pump is a beast. The fuel line, fuel hat connections and intank regulator/filter are not. At least once boosted and heading north of 600whp.

How long have you been running the JMS?

Any issues programming it?

I’ve had mine on the car for 2 years now. I didn’t have any issues programming it. I set it once and it’s been working like dream ever since.

I assume that your referencing the JMS unit about using the pump command signal to trigger the BAP?

I mounted mine on the back of the left rear seat, where it has plenty of air to stay cool.

Looks clean. I'm leaning towards the trunk area too, but under the package tray area mounted upside down. Where it looks like your bottle mount is located.

Is yours programmed to hit 22V, or did you limit it to 18V only?

I've ran the jms and vmp baps. The jms is great because of its adjustability depending on your needs but it also has more things that can go wrong. I had to limp my car home 3 different times due to issues with the bap. One involving it cutting power to my fuel pump under boost and twice throwing codes for pedal position errors. Now jms's customer service was great every time and they sent replacement parts right away or a return label to inspect my unit but I got sick of having problems so I switched to a vmp. I was worried about the pump being constantly boosted but I've ran it that way for at least 10k now and no issues. Either option is fine and work well on these cars and you won't find many people who has issues with a jms like I did. I got unlucky with it.

Thanks. Under the package tray is also a good spot. I’m programmed to hit 22V.

Thank you for sharing this! Three different times would be frustrating for sure.

Could you tell if the car ran any different from one to the other, or did it seem to like one better than the other looking at logs?

Nope. Car ran exactly the same. Only difference in the log is the vmp was boosting fuel pressure to about 80psi at idle and the jms wasn't. Car ran the same both ways.

What parts went bad on your JMS BAP? Iā€˜d like to have a heads up in case I ever encounter the same issues. Thanks.

The Wiring harness the first time. Not sure on the second two issues but probably wiring harness again. The bap its self was solid when they checked it out. First time it was something between the bap and the fpm. The second two times being it was throwing cels for pedal position sensors and going into limp mode I'm guessing it was the harness at the pedal although the replacement harness they sent out fixed the issue for about a year but then it came back. You'll probably be just fine. I've never found anyone else who reported an issue with jms. I just got really unlucky I guess.
