Hey guys… bought me my first Mustang ( first Ford in my 20 plus years of for that matter)
2019 GT premium with performance package and digital dash… a blast to drive for sure
Question I have is this… it has these tacky looking badges that I don’t think are stock ones…. Instead of the typical 5.0 it has a Powered by Ford performance and behind the doors on the back pillars a pony badge…
Was the previous owner just cheesy and did that?
Gonna see if I can post the pics in here
I want it to look like it did from the factory
Also I hate the rims… those are not stock either
Rest of the car I love …

I agree, the badges behind the doors with the pony badge really suck. The one replacing the 5.0 also sucks, but a bit less. Just IMO.

First off, welcome to the forum and congrats on your first Mustang. Understand that making our cars what we want makes the Mustang the most modified car in the world. The prior owner of your car did some things you do not like. No problem. A heat gun and fishing line will take care of the emblems. A trip to the wheels sub forum will show you a million options. Shopping for wheels is a lot of fun. Enjoy!! 👍👏

I will say I like the round badges and placement - that looks cool.

Thanks guys
I was 99% sure that was the case… previous owner had a different taste but looks crappy in my opinion… just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something special… even if it was I would want to change it….
Have some blacked out ones on order and the pony is getting taken off

Yes those are replaced badges. If you want them removed just use a hair dryer to warm them up and they should come off pretty easy. Clean up with goof off/goo gone and you will be all set to add some different badges if you please.

You're aware that those are the wrong wheels and tires for that car, correct?

Yes, those pony roundels are a tribute to the '69 fastback. I wouldn't put them on a modern car either, but at least there's an historical reference for them.

Although they had dialed back from the outrageous and wild '50's, some '60's and 70's designs were "more is better". Design elements are much more thought out now, and seeking a different market.
