Back up proximity warning

Base model 16' with reverse park assist option. Camera and I believe four sensors on the bumper. I really like it having both visual and audible.

I do not think I am explaining this properly. When I get into the yellow zone it beeps, not a continuous beep when I start backing up.

I do have BLIS, and that makes sense because the car was coming from my left as we were backing out of the driveway. I stopped at the edge of the driveway and it still said whatever it said.

So yea I believe if you have BLIS, it will beep when you have approving vehicle from the side.
The reverse sensing is mostly for objects that are directly behind the vehicle such as a light pole or bollard.

This is the first vehicle I have that had either one.
I did have some experience with the beeper since I worked at a Ford assembly plant.
I don't know how I got by without them on my vans and trucks,but I love them on my Mustang.

You need a different bumper at least.
Then you have to somehow program the touch screen to display the levels.

A local Audio shop here installs sensors on the rear bumper. You do not need a screen. To install they do have to drill thru the bumper. I personally have not seen the finished product since all my vehicles, since 2002, had the factory system.

They sit right above the crease where the premium valance goes. Two on the sides ad two right behind it.

Its an option besides the back up camera as the camera comes stocks across all modes.

I see come people talking about the cross traffic warning, that is part of BLIS which is not part of the just the back up sensors. The cross traffic warning uses the sensors that BLIS uses for blind sport monitoring, those sensors sit behind the bumper cover.

Do you have little circles on your back bumper..if so you have the back up sensors/audible warning. If not then you just have the camera.

And for those wondering, mine has the sensors and the camera, and I have a GT base w/PP, so it's not just a Premium option.

I thought you can turn the sound on/off on the proximity sensors. I think with the menu you can access on your steering wheel.
My sensors beep at me when there is nothing near it. These sensors are glitching out on me. Minor nuisance, I'll have the dealer look at it when I take the car in for service.

idk what you have but on my premium, there is an icon showing how far the objects are on each sensor on my screen.

We have the same option on a 2015 Ford edge but it's also the titanium version that has cross traffic warning and backup warning when you get too close I wish them the 350 had it because I really like what's in the edge the one in Mustang the 350 I'm not as comfortable. But contradictories it may be I always tell myself and I wife mirrors don't lie I don't know what it is but that camera but just not as comfortable. The Ford edge I'm getting that car with the sensors on it and back it down the driveway out in the street just using that I don't even use it every mirror but it has sensors.

My 22 GT premium has no sensors in the bumper cover that I can see but definitely has the audible as well as the camera. Backup assist can be turned off I believe.

No, the camera is just that a camera. The audible option has four sensors on the rear bumper.
I don't know if its a premium option or not.

I do not have a premium, but mine has the sensors.
