i rather keep it simple and safer as you mentioned.

i live 3 miles from an e85 station and only flash 91 when long road trips (vegas or bay area)

just hope battery doesnt die when flashing--that would be no good.
I would be more worried the fluctuation in "e85" around me it ranges tank to tank from 70-80%. Without a flex fuel tune any drop in ethanol content could be pretty bad for the motor's health.

i actually tuned on vegas e85 which tested 68%. i brought my own jugs from local station in Los angeles and it tested to 85%.

my tune is completely clean zero knock or PCM is not kicking any timing. so losing an engine to tune related is unlikely. just hope no mechanical failure and rods live a lil while.

Very nice numbers for a 3.6 pulley. Are you planning on tracking the car anytime soon? I would love to know what your timing looks like. Do you have any logs you can screen shot or so you know what your peak timing was?

this is what the car made on 16 degrees on timing pump gas 91 @ 7000 rpm

and e85 @ 7200 rpm 20 degrees as well. timing on last nites dyno was 22 degrees @ 7400

Interesting you have to do that. It is safer, but for sure your PCM has the ability to be setup as a flex fuel tune, so I can adjust for any concentration of ethanol.
Most tuners will not do that in a FI setup, due to the extreme differences in timing, and the consequences if you go WOT without the computer adjusting completely. On an NA setup the difference is minor.

whats needed is a fuel system, larger injector and a tune.

on e85 engine runs cooler and easier--pending how it's driven of course but cost for fuel system and reduced MPG are a factor
