B&O Sound system vs Shaker

I've heard the Power Base speakers are a good upgrade for those not wanting to invest invest in complete overhaul. I would be interested in hearing them. I thought I read on here a few months ago that they weren't available anymore. I could be wrong.

The B&O speakers are a different part number over the premium( standard for Mach ) audio. That said, I believe both are still paper factory type speakers, just a different sound profile. Power bass makes speakers for ford, plugs right in and makes a good difference if you don't want to mod anything, they replace the doors and package tray.

I haven't experienced the B&O. I have the shaker in my 16 convertible with the sub in the trunk and love it. The comments I read about the Mustangs with the shaker audio without the trunk sub were pretty bad, so I made sure I found one with the sub.

I know the B&O in my Tremor is far better than the B&O in my Mustang.

as has been said a few posts before, it makes sense to swap the sub.

I also swapped out the rear speakers.

Sub is now the JL Audio 10W0V3-4.

the rear speakers are the
Focal IC-Ford 165 ( are plug n' play)

so I'm pretty happy with the sound.

Still the best $60 I spent and it wasn't difficult. Just be careful with the trim ring and use a heat gun to make it a little easier.

Yes. That sub is great for the price. Once you see what the stock one is in comparison you'll see why it's a clear upgrade.

I followed a forum post and just upgraded the door and shelf speakers (and the center). Made a very big difference. It went from fart-like to pretty decent, but still lacking for bass. You can get some of it with the built-in EQ, but it will clip with too much. Doing a sub would be my next step, but that's a bit more work. My '18 R does not have the blue connector in the back with the wiring.

The Alpine system I have in the Jeep Wrangler sounds better than the B&O to me. I was not as impressed with the B&O as I wanted to be. The sub upgrade is on my list though, I'm hoping that will clean it up some.

I am the one who had them in doors, or one of the last people to. yeah, last I checked, 2ohm door replacements was no longer around.

not enough mustang buyers was buying them I guess. was very happy with them, stomped the stockers. seemed well built too.

Yes, I can imagine they had to be a big improvement. Those 2 ohms make things hard but looks like I am going to strip it down and only keep the JL Audio Subwoofer Enclosure.

I do see these on Crutchfield; not sure if they are similar to the ones you had. They are 2 ohms but the freq range is a bit high.

Yeah those are coaxial. Mine was regular. It may look poopy, but my car was quiet and it jammed w no rattles
