I think the look is fine even though it is a bit too much paired with the hood vents. And why is it not painted colormatching the car? But I am much more worried about the pratical consequences. All the dirt and water will directly drop into your engine bay through the huge opening, the little catch basin will surely do nothing when the car is moving.

Buy a used hood, cut a hole in used hood. Buy decal for hood. Put factory hood up so it can be put back on if needed later.

I’d say if some aftermarket Co is going to do a hood for the new M1, do it like the 71-73 Mach 1 or the 69-70 Shelby hood with the vented inserts and similar “hood lines” coming off the cutouts. It would look really good, but without destroying the aesthetics of how the factory S550 M1 hood looks.

I wonder just how functional it is really... The factory intake is already sized for the amount of air needed by the engine... I bet all it really does is add drag and front end lift. It does look really nice though!CDC - Classic Design Concepts functional shaker for your MACH 1 ;)
