Hi guys,

I am looking to buy a pair of automotive gloves for HPDE. I am looking to buy something decent so I am looking at brands such as Sparco, Alpinestars, OMP etc....

Any experiences with using these brands? From my understanding, an external stitched glove is preferred by most due to its superior comfort. If I look to buy an external stitched gloves from one of these brands, which one would people recommend? What are people's experiences with using Sparco and Alpinestar, OMP etc.
Any other recommendations outside these brands?

Thanks

I have Sparco's. I believe they are the Land model but not certain. I like them; very comfortable and good grip on the wheel/shifter.

I believe the land model is an internal seamed glove. did your hands get very uncomfortable after prolong track sessions?

Did you ever feel the need to upgrade to something like the Sparco Tide or Arrow? I believe they currently sell the land+ which is the newest iteration of the glove. Just wondering if I need to spend the extra $100 to at least get the Sparco Arrow.

No. They work as intended and that's all I need from them. Money better spent on track time and coaching.

I have been using the OMP ONE S. Feels great on my hand and on my alcantara steering wheel.

Just to make your decision harder, I like my Puma Pro-Fits.

+1 on OMP One gloves. I’d also like to suggest everyone consider selecting a high contrast color. Too many times, when gloves are darker colors or too similar to the car, hand signals are difficult to distinguish. Make your signals clear and help that by picking bright colored/contrasting colored gloves.

Yeah, I plan on getting a red pair of gloves.
