I've been through four 6R80's, but overall I like them lol.

I learned how to drive a manual before buying my car and it just wasnt for me. Too much work IMO for little benefit and I'm lazy. Paddles give me all the control I need. Driving a manual didnt add any "fun" to me, it was just extra work. That was my reasoning above everything, but yes they are also faster and easier to drive in my commute. Overall though it was that I just didn't like stick.

I Daily my 16 GT w3.55:1 gearing for work as a medical tech. I did a 50 roll w/370Z which was interesting until 70mph. I paddle everywhere I go in Sport mode w/6R80 and have learned when to punch the throttle to bark 2nd gear. I had a 5 speed Celica GT stick that was my last stick car. 1 piece driveshaft is going to up my enjoyment. Hi Mom I'm home!

No matter what, you will always receive four responses to this thread (or similar):

"I have an auto and I love it"
"I have a manual and I love it"
"I have an auto and now wish I'd bought a manual"
"I have a manual and now wish I'd bought an auto"

For the record, I have an auto and I love it.

You forgot:
Manual is the only transmission that belongs in a performance car, and if you have an automatic you're not a real driver/man/American/human.
LOL, can’t disagree with that one!

What is your definition of a performance car?

Most race cars excluding NASCARs don’t have a clutch pedal.

6R80 with 3.55 here...
very happy with my automatic, especially in S, if I want to drive as a manual use the cams on the steering wheel.
I will go with Pack Performance 2 to give a little more joy :like::like:

i was curious as to how many on this forum have automatic transmissions. I love mine. I’m getting to old man status and the auto is a dream to drive. I’ve changed my share of clutches in the past. Had a 1996 Cobra for 12 years and between myself and my son, went through 3 the time I had it.

Did the work myself
I warned you... The flame war is raging on.

I have a lifted Miata for when I want to row gears. I want my Mustangs to actually be quick and consistent.
