Automatic Transmission owners

i was curious as to how many on this forum have automatic transmissions. I love mine. I’m getting to old man status and the auto is a dream to drive. I’ve changed my share of clutches in the past. Had a 1996 Cobra for 12 years and between myself and my son, went through 3 the time I had it.

The old Cobra clutch was like a leg press machine.

I love driving manuals. My 2016 GT was great fun. However, the 10A is so much faster I had to have it on my 2018. With the modes and how differently it behaves in each one, there is still plenty of fun to be had.

It's when manual owners can't deal with the advancement of technology and they start making up excuses like it's a nice leg workout in rush hour traffic.

I would have loved to have a manual GT but I have peripheral neuropathy in my left leg that causes significant pain in my left foot, which negates the possibility of rowing gears and depressing a clutch for any extended period of time.

And I am quite pleased with the performance of my auto equipped GT, especially with a LUND tune.

My 6R80 is fun to drive and the 10R80 with the 3.55 is like a rocket.

The downshifts on the 10R80 in sport mode are amazing.

Track mode is where it’s at

Love it at the track. Would rather have a stick shift for street fun otherwise. On the fence whether I will go back to a manual.
