It feels Right (Play on Words) to me-->:D
Did you not get the smaller sleeve in your kit? Mine came with 2. The smaller one was almost perfect

Nope, only 1.

Do you have any play/slop with the smaller one?
A very very small amount. There wasnt even enough room for 1 full wrap of electrical tape

Wonder why they didn't mention an already manufactured sleeve that would work...Anywho, they are in the process of having a Mustang 15/16 available in the next few weeks.

Hope you see em now?

Looks good. Gotta get rid of that ugly auto shift boot though and get the manual boot. It may sit higher on the metal post too.

Also I doubt the play in the size matters much or affects the function. Probably could get some plastic/rubber washers/rubber o-rings from Home Depot for a few pennies each to fill the gap and call it a day.

Those markings by the shifter do no good on the S550 as they dont have any indicator and are pretty much useless. The display is on the gauges. At least on the S197 they actually did something!

That's the first thing I want to get rid of, the black plastic around the boot and get a manual boot, plus my shift boot is rubbing the black color off the edge to the right of the indicators (the left black plastic) along that whole sharp corner/edge with only 4000 miles on the car and 1 year old.

Anything new on this? I've been looking and haven't located the seller of this kit?

Pry up on the chrome trim ring from the from. Use your fingers, it will pop up. Once trim is up there are 2 small phillips screws that hold the boot to the actual shifter. Boot and knob come off as one.

Or use that ^ haha

Thank you. Will the manual boot and trim fit directly in place of the auto?

Yes, you'll just have the power pigtail for the lighting. Otherwise it's a direct fit.
