Hey everyone, so I've been watching a lot o videos on the Auto Blip product and the Xineering product. They both seem to function well and don't void your warrantee apparently. Does anyone have any experience with either of them?

Looks like the Auto Blip is a little more simple to mess with because you don't need your phone, any thoughts?

If you use the search function, you’ll find a few great threads where this is discussed extensively.

PS - love my auto-blip

Yes lots of discussion around both options as pilotgore mentioned. I have the Xineering module and it works great in my 2013 Boss 302. Easy to change settings and I use a Surface Pro. Once you have it dialed in to your liking it doesn't need much attention. Easy to install.

+1 Auto-blip can be dialed in on the fly with the knobs
+1 Xineering has the pass through plugs to avoid wire taps

I can't think of any other real differences 🤷‍♂️

I had Autoblip on my previous 2 cars, worked great on track and was easy to mess around with at the touch of a dial to get exactly where it needed to be.

Last time I was out, by the later sessions it began dragging the clutch a bit. I was too preoccupied to pull out the laptop and connect to dial up the % or duration. It would have been nice to have the dials.

As a sidenote, these days are six 30min sessions separated by 30min, and it's out in the desert. I don't know if heat soak has anything to do with it, but things do get pretty warm.

Going on 3 years with the autoblip and no complaints.

I'd have preferred pass thru plugs for the connections, but I just looked at the xineering site and you still have to tap the brake signal and switched power, so not sure that aspect is worth it.

You also have to add a manual power switch for the xineering one IF you desire to turn it off for street use or whatever. I find it annoying on street sometimes so I generally only use it on track, but your needs may differ.

Just to be clear. Would this be from the Autoblip or Xineering unit?

I installed the xineering unit and just used it on the track last week for the first time. I’m really happy with it and downshifting is no longer an issue. One session I forgot to turn it on and locked the rear tires up for a second. I agree it should come with a switch but it’s not that hard to put one in. Also you only need a phone or laptop if you want to adjust the settings. I thought the factory setting was spot on so no need to change.

So how do you turn it off then without a switch?

He might be referring to the Xineering unit he was using since he mentioned the laptop and tuning the unit. And he wishes he had the dials which the Auto Blip has to tune it. I am interested in either one but the Auto Blip seems to be easier to dial up/down manually at the track.

Makes sense! Auto Blips seems like the easier install and comes with an off switch from the get go.
