Hi Everyone,
I cannot find any information in my owner's manual that tells me what the temps should be. I have all these gages, engine temp, cylinder head temp, oil temp. But would anyone know where I can find something that has that information?
Thanks,
For any of you that have the Whipple Gen 5 3.0, what are you running for a CAI? I am getting mine installed but hate that black plastic enclosed air box it comes with.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Hey All,
I'm in the process of getting a whipple installed on my GT350R. I do NOT like the enclosed airbox and I have seen some with open air filters with some cool carbon fiber piping. Does anyone have any suggestions on something other than what comes with the whipple to go with?
Thanks,
Hi Everyone,
OK, after a long and windy road, I have selected a build type and a shop to do it. My car will be "catless" but unless someone looks under it they will not be able to tell as the tune will be on point and no CL showing an issue. This should be one nasty car.
Any members in NH that...
Hi All, about 1.5 years ago I purchased my GT350R. I was planning on upgrading the car but it did not happen at the time. I'm looking at it again but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts.
GEN 1 Voodoo, not GEN2. I hear Turbo is less stressful on the motor overall and less likely to blow...
I run 93 with Boostane professional and it's fantastic, makes a very nice difference in performance. With traction control on it ripps the tires in 1st, 2nd and 3rd nicely.
Hey Everyone,
So I hear that you get more WHP because of the reduction in mass, but I can't find any actual Dyno results. Anyone know anything or can point me in the correct direction on what to expect?
Thanks,
Steve
Here is my ?, the old CJIM would git a GT350, will this one? I have been waiting on this because I did not want to get porked buying a used one for way too much money. Can you please let me know if it will fit, of course, I need to modify the hood or drop the motor.
This is not more BS, every car is different and will react differently depending on the car's ignition setup. Motortrend did a test on a car with 91, 100, 110, and 118 Octane. The 118 made less horsepower than the 100 and 110 because the car's ignition could not efficiently ignite the 118 obtain...
I will share that my research show's there is a limit to how much the timing will advance without changing the tune, so for example, if I were to try and raise my octane to something like 110 it would hurt performance VS help it. My research showed I can move it to around 100 and see a benefit...
I can say that the car is running differently and pulls harder on the Boostane. I have also read about all the independent Dyno testing that has been done where they did not change the timing of the vehicle that was being used and it showed an improvement without changing the tune. So, I am...
