In the 1970's, my buddy installed windshield wiper jets in the rear wheel wells of his Dodge Charger. He filled the tank with water & bleach. When he wanted to do a burnout, he would press the button and the rear tires would be sprayed with water and bleach to help make big white smokey burnouts. Has anyone done this to their Mustang? Thanks

Don't know why you'd think you'd need any help with big smoky burnouts with these cars. This is all stock except for mufflers, shifting to 3rd (A10) before releasing the line lock.

Fair point! I was just thinking that by lubricating the tires, it would save them a bit versus just burning out dry. Maybe the tires would last longer?

What's the point of burning tires when trying to make them last longer?

Just to act cool and show off. Burn out the tires, but try to make 'em last a little longer.

Just get a fog machine, it's cheap, comes with lights and a disco ball, you will be making extra dramatic appearances. If you play sounds of revving engine and squealing tires at the same time, that will look very legit.

So adding water to a smoky tire burnout prolongs the life of a tire - now that's a new one!😁

As others have said, with modern day Muscle cars pushing well over 400hp+ as built and having far superior engine design, engine management systems, and fuel/air management systems than anything from the 50's through the 70's - you don't need any "water system" to even get the slightest amount of wheel spin.

Spit on the tires if you feel you need prelube...

I loved burnouts when I was NA. With the mp4s you can do quite a few with out loosing a lot of tread. Now that I'm boosted I don't want to break stuff messing around and look like an idiot!

Looked up PS4s the other day. 375 a pop.

I love burnouts but can no longer afford them.
Go to your local salvage yard and have them pull same size tires from some wrecks for dirt cheap - then go have fun burning them off... Salvage yards don't make diddly on tires, they'll be glad to charge you a few bucks to rid them from their property.
