Hey everyone. Looking to do extended studs soon up front to fit some wider tires. I was looking at getting the ARP extended studs with open lugs versus the Ford performance hub with the studs already installed. The price difference between the two is about $150 or so and wanted to know if the only reason to get the hub with studs pre installed is to avoid having to do it yourself or if there was some other reason.

Thanks

yeah, its just to avoid the labor of pressing in new studs yourself. I just put in hubs with ARPs pre-installed on my car for the same reason.

That and you get some fresh bearings if yours have a bunch of miles, but I've yet to hear of anybody wear out their stock front bearings (sometimes the rear bearings go tho).

The only other reason (besides the one you mentioned) to get the hubs also is if you need new wheel hubs.
