26 is a bit small and will look wierd. All the stock tires at in the 27 inch range.

I run a 245/40/18 Mickey Thompson ET street which is 26 inches in diameter. It works fine. I've got 1.6 sixtys out of them. Just wish I would have went with a wider tire. Next spring I'll be switching to 305s.

How was your mile an hour compared to a 29" tire?

I run race stars with a 275/40/17 Nitto 555r drag radial which is a 26" tire. My car is a automatic with 3.15 gears so that why I opted for the 26" tire. It worked great. I pulled low 1.83 60' . I just installed a 4c converter and have a set of 295 45 17 mickey thompson drag radials coming for it now

I can't really answer correctly. I've only run the car with the stock 235/18s and the drag radials. MPH was about the same with both. The stockers are 27 inches so not a lot of difference between those and the DRS.

How about a little more information regarding the reason for your question? Normally a person would use a shorter tire because they want to reduce their gear ratios(3.31 for manual, 3.15 for auto). One would use a taller tire(28") when they want a slightly taller gear ratio(3.73 gears for manual). Your choice should depend on those factors, plus others like horsepower(more power, taller tire generally) and clearance.
