New to the forum, looking to either add the widest rear wheel and tire setup or info on running a drag setup on my 350. Running a ProCharged P1X on E85 and just under 800 WHP car gets zero traction. Crazy enough I got an extended warranty when I bought the car last month through the dealership even with that setup. Any recommendations are much appreciated.

I could be wrong, but Inwiumd think any of the S550 17x10 drag wheels out there would fit and clear the rear brakes. Check Weld Racing or Forgestar (which iI believe is also owned by Weld).

Are you wanting a tire for street duty or track only? Mickey Thompson or Hoosier in radial or bias ply will get you by on both surfaces, but the radials will be better for street work.

You may want to make sure your warranty company knows or (doesn't know) about the Pro Charger. Chances are, it won't be covered regardless that you bought it that way.

I’m just under 800WHP myself and I’ll be running beadlocks and drag radials in the back this year because of traction problems. I will say as someone who’s worked at a dealership for over a decade I’ve NEVER seen a warranty company cover a engine repair on a car that has an aftermarket supercharger, pro charger, or any kind of performance upgrade like that. I seriously doubt they will cover anything so I would call them and tell them before you find out the hard way. Also if they won’t cover it then you can cancel the warranty now because the faster you cancel it the more you get back.

That extended warranty is wasted money. You gave Clark the finance guy, a Christmas bonus and it wasn't jelly of the month club either.

Yup, everyone here is correct. Dealer was full of sht so I cancelled it. Luckily I only had it 30 days. I never typically buy them but when they said the car would be fully covered I figured that was a good insurance policy for a boosted Voodoo.

Yeah I’m in sales at a dealership and they absolutely knew it wouldn’t be covered. I’m glad you got it handled quickly.

A GT350 turned into a drag car is like trying to go from this:

To turning a track vehicle into this:

I don't see the reason for turning a track car into a drag car................ but that's just me!!!!!!!

You know can take the drag tires off when you want to track day the car right? A GT350 with 300+ more hp is still a GT350.

I’m looking forward to hearing how you do with it at the strip. I think it’s great that you want to drag it. Cool body lines and good ET/MPH 👍. I like it!
