I'm thinking about getting an x pipe as well. The switchfire and the corsa double x are what I have been looking at. I was looking for x benefits with less rasp. I'm still thinking

I added an FRPP X pipe to my 2015 GT - it barely made the car any louder - but those cars had super quiet factory mufflers....I added a Roush H pipe to my 2021 GT - and WOW....way, way, way too loud....too much drone, hated it...put the stock resonator back on the car - interestingly, a stock resonator when brand new gets just a bit louder as it breaks in.

So, I have an H pipe sitting in my garage with a couple thousand miles on it....
Strange. Drone is usually associated with the mufflers. That's why muffler deletes usually have lots of it. I know someone who has an H-pipe with his '19 stock non active mufflers. I think it sounds too tinny at high RPMs, but he likes it and says there's no drone. As for volume, it's louder than stock but quieter than any aftermarket setup I've heard.

I've tossed around the idea of doing this with an X-pipe, except with resonators on both sides. Were you able to compare the difference with and without the resonator?

I tried a Ford Performance X and found it too harsh. Then came up with the single resonated idea and am much happier.

I like the sound of the corsa just a little more than the switchfire. At least on sound clips. Any regret not staying stock?
No regrets at all, just love the sound 👍

Nobody in this thread probably cares about my opinion here lol, but I'm honestly amazed how awesome some modern performance cars sound straight from the factory. I have had no interest in adjusting the sound on the last couple cars I've bought, and think I would regret an X- or H-pipe. I love the track mode exhaust note, and I also love that I can mute it when road tripping or when my mom is in the car. I'm kind of curious if the motivation you guys have for exhaust mods is just a different pitch, more volume, something else?

... Now if I wanted more power, that would be another story and would bring exhaust mods (with a tune) back to the table.
the stock 18+ cars sound fantastic with oem, 15-17 not so much imo

They really do - IMO it's just about perfect, shockingly loud for stock.
Wish the tail pipes were easier to swap with all the bumper cutouts
