Aka, Bama tune is custom. Unleashed is custom. I'm going with Bama.
Are you doing datalogs and working with a tuner making changes? Just because you tell them what "mods" you have doesn't make it custom... it's still a canned tune.

When cobbs ATR software gets released this month I will be able to make adjustments to my "map" by myself. For example when I install a catless downpipe I am going to limit WGDC to prevent a boost spike, and then set my boost targets. Go out do a datalog see how much boost it hits and gradually raise WGDC, do another log, repeat until it reaches my boost target. Pretty sure you can't do that with bama or unleashed.

I can also adjust fuel trims, AFR, WOT AFR, Launch control limits, Flat Foot Shifting limits, spark adv, etc... the ATR software allows you to change nearly every parameter of the ECU. Now it should go without saying but obviously you need to know what you are doing as you can seriously damage the motor.

I don't understand the attraction of the maps you can switch to on the fly. To me, it just screams.....
I love Cobb and use their products but I don't get the "on the fly" map switching either. Your right foot controls fuel economy.

The only benefit I see to it is if you have a couple custom maps. Say a 91, 93, 93/e85, and race gas tune all of which would be custom for your car.

I dont need maps. So Cobb is pointless to me. That is what your paying. Plus they are off the wall tunes. Correct if im wrong. I can get a Cobb for $430 shipped and bama with custom tunes free for life at $375.99 shipped
Where did you see $430 shipped for Cobb?

I have probably done 25+ revisions with Torrie, including revisions done at the track. Torrie is 100% a custom tuner who will work with you to meet whatever goals you want. For example, I wanted the shifts to be a tad less aggressive to control wheelspin between shifts. He took care of it in 15 minutes from my request...while on vacation. I am going to be honest, I have no real desire to self-tune this car. I would rather someone with experience handle it for me. I can blow up my other self-tuned cars, I don't want to blow up my daily driver.

That's good! I'm actually a little apprehensive about self tuning this car. I'm working along side someone who is very knowledgeable and supports this platform on both AP and HP tuners. He will be doing majority of the tuning while I fidget around with the smaller stuff and quick adjustments. On another note I'm not exactly worried about blowing this car up because motor parts are not that expensive from what I've seen.

I see higher boost in warmer temps from my canned cobb tune. When it gets above 50 I see 24+ and below 30 I only see 21.8-.9
Probably trying to keep it fueled. Remember, I ran out of fuel with my high boost tune from Torrie in 30 degree temps.

What I want is a 93 performance tune, Air raid CAI, and Ford Racing touring Axle back.

You could use any off the shelf tune for that combo if you want to keep it simple. Cobb, WMS, Unleashed, Livernois, etc.

if you are going to tune, you really should do an intercooler before intake or exhaust..

Question, do you HAVE to have a tune for the intercooler and charge piping addition? Meaning can I install it in my garage and then drive the car to a tuner?

nope,

you will be fine driving it around with a stock tune as long as you want. it will keep you from losing hp while driving it hard..

So the Cobb tune seems to adjust for temp changes. Livernois stated there's is fine in varying temps as well. Why does the unleashed tune not?just wondering what's up as unleashed is at the top of my list.

mbreinin has been pushing his car with Unleashed and found the limits of the Fuel system at the highest boost levels. Its not the tune that can't keep up.. It appears the stock fuel system hitting its limits at high boost levels.
