My car is a 2015 EcoBoost Premium automatic (without the performance package). The only mods to my car are the Denso pre-gapped iridium plugs that Adam sells (though I do plan to add an intercooler before summer).
In my e-mail consult with Adam I let him know that I wanted to get the most out...
In the USA, ingot silver on my Mustang is a no-cost option. However, when I was looking at the UK Ford website I see that it is a ÂŁ595 option. Blimey! :headbonk:
I know that in the Audi / BMW / Mercedes world metallic paint is usually an extra cost option. Seems like Ford is taking...
I'm 100% with you on this one Jeffrey. Firstly, I just don't like the look of Sync 3. Visually, the layout of Sync just looks better to me. Secondly, I really like being to customize the display with my own wallpaper. Finally, with Siri hands-free, I can now seamlessly stream Apple Music.
Updated from v120 to v200 earlier this week. My EcoBoost premium (non performance package) is otherwise bone stock.
Immediately noticed a couple of negative things. The transmission seems to hang on to lower gears much longer than did the stock Ford tune and v120 COBB tune regardless of...
Can't say that I am all that impressed with the update.
Firstly, I have yet to see a comprehensive list of features and fixes for the update. Where are the release notes Ford?
Next, why does the update necessitate having to re-pair your phone as well as reapply the wall paper? IMHO, this is a...
So after 3 hours, I cancelled the update. I called COBB tech support, and they inquired if I was using a Mac, I am. They said there is a defect in the firmware update program for Mac computers and said that I should be able to update it successfully with a Windows computer (which I don't...
How long does it take for the v1.7.2.0-11281 firmware upgrade to complete? I started it an hour ago, and its still in the process of updating. The Accessport Manager (v2.1.1.12) says it is "Waiting for Accessport to reboot...".
Thanks for the info, but the scope of what is to be done makes me much less inclined to get this recall done. Remove the fuel tank, exhaust and driveshaft? Yeah, it's not rocket science, but my experiences with dealer repairs hasn't always in resulted in the original problem being fixed, and...
A couple disappointments. First is that the average MPG reported by the computer is consistently a couple of MPG too optimistic (when I compare it to miles traveled divided by gallons pumped). The other is the glare in the central color information display on a sunny day.
The owner's manual says not to exceed 15% ethanol (E15). So what precautions do I need to follow in order to run E30? The only mod to my EcoBoost is the COBB Stage 1 tune (93 octane).
You know, it seems like rather than replacing the entire dash assembly, a repair procedure whereby a syringe that delivers adhesive to defective area might be worth trying.
