On my bike I installed some super bright LED bulbs. After 1 night of riding I went back to halogen. That bright white light reflected of the humidity in the air and I couldn't see crapola.

Just looks, but now im curious as to why Mark is saying hopefully not, hah!
Just a personal thing of course but the current tri bar headlamps look so much better to me.
I’m really surprised ‘S650 style’ stuff is out already, we’ll be seeing a lot of it!

I get a lot of people flashing their brights at me when I am on dim. I wonder how they feel when I flash them back?

I've not used them on my S550, but I had alpharex headlights in my Ram and they were great. They are big in the Ram world and I have not heard much of any negative reviews of any of their products.

LED bulbs in a halogen housing are an entirely different animal than proper LED projectors. These are LED projectors, similar to what you would find OEM on most newer vehicles. LED bulbs in halogen reflectors are trash for visibility and only serve to blind oncoming traffic.

From the reviews I've read of Alpharex LED projectors, they are quite bright, good throw on the lighting and the cutoff is sharp.

My mustang has LED assemblies. They are great on an open road in good weather but I can see better with more yellow tint. I don't like the 6000K color temp for head lamps.

On the bike it was the HD projector lamp designed around LED's.

6000k is definitely not the best color temp, which is why OEM HIDs were around 4300k. I find something around 5000k suits my eye best from all of the various lights I've had over the years. I also find HID to be far superior to LED as far as actual visibility, even considering OEM LEDs.

My wife has a 2023 Nissan Murano with OEM LED reflectors and that thing is almost scary to drive at night if there is any moisture on the road.

I don't know enough about HD headlights, but typically if you can replace the bulb with like you mentioned with a superbrite LED bulb (assuming you are talking about the brand superbrite), it wouldn't be a projector designed for LEDs. The bike world may be different, but LED projectors in cars have a dedicated chip in the projector and to replace it you would have to either replace the entire housing, or open the housing and replace the entire projector assembly.

Just wanna make a quick note on one of your comments on the 2 types of bulbs. LED and HID are somewhat close in brightness when you compare the 2, however, HID do put out more lumens than the LEDs. The thing LEDs have over HID is the bulb life. LED bulbs typically last longer than HID, although, either of them both have a much longer bulb life over halogen anyway. In a perfect world you really shouldn't have to replace either if you install them on a car.
