Haven't received any negative comments from strangers. But I have received some flack because "you just had son and you got rid of your 4 door?"
I get that some time with my kids except I went from 350z to a 3door veloster turbo(held off for so long but had to get something with a back seat) back to a two door with the mustang.

I tell people I refuse to conform...hell I have an orange car lol. actually my 2nd because my 350z was lemanz sunset orange so it ought to be more than obvious I don't conform. If I'm spending the money on something I want what I want and mustang is a very safe car as well.

I don't really have any bad comments. I am in negotiation right now with our family salesman of 35 years for a BASE GT 6spd. I am 32 years old and my first car at 16 was a 86 GT my mom bought new. I have had many Fox Bodies including a 11 second daily driver. and currently a 07 GT. I my opinion Mustangs are MUSCLE cars. There 2 priorities in the word MUSCLE CAR V8 and MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Any thing else is a SLUSH BOX or ECONO BOX. IF YOUR GOING TO BUY WHAT YOU THINK IS A MUSCLE CAR BUY A DAMN MUSCLE CAR! I know opinions are like assholes, I just find it funny you guys being OFFENDED by people making fun of your poor choices.

Automatics are for NON-DRIVERS.
Sorry man can't talk to me about Manual Transmissions. Look up UMTR.
Been drag racing manual transmission cars for 16 years.

Whatever you say. I do like how you are providing more examples of negative comments for the thread, though.

When you get that new gt base manual, why not race my 4cyl slushbox? Put your money where your mouth is.

Let me know when you buy your GT. If you're still game then, I'm your huckleberry.

Actually I will let my mother race you. She feels the same way. She taught me well.

On topic: I've had only positive comments to date.
To each his own I guess. A "real" car guy likes to feel connected to his vehicle and be engaged while driving. I think I'm finished with this forum. Seems like alot of BANDWAGON buyers on this forum. Alot of first time Mustang buyers instead of TRUE ENTHUSIASTS. Alot of guys on here have come from some form of high end LUXURY car. Still in the "LOOKY WHAT I HAVE" status perception. Trying to make the neighbor jealous types.

RANT OVER I'M OUT!

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

A real car-guy doesn't bash other cars. I think car-snob is the right word for you?
