This is pretty dismal news for Ford, a far cry from where they were several years ago. I would love to be able to see the detail of this report. "Problems per vehicle" is a pretty coarse term, and I know it can mean anything from "the engine blew up and had to be replaced" to "I can't figure out how to work MFT."

188/100 is nearly two complaints per vehicle. I have had one, as have all the EB PP and base GT folks: our brakes howl like banshees. A widespread problem like that really puts a car in a hole. Hopefully Ford is able to address some of these quickly and get themselves back into the 100-120 range like they were in 10 years ago (if memory serves).

Just be glad you don't have a Fiat.
I read something related to this list about ford, and I believe most of the problems were actually related to sync 2, which we know is a piece of shit, because it was made by microshit. So, it should be better once they move onto sync 3 and even better systems.

And even then... at the end of the day, it's still a Civic.
There's nothing wrong with Civics. They're perfectly competent small cars, and the Civic Type-R (a car never sold in the North America) is actually very, very good. The new one due soon looks even better, given its going to have 306hp, a mechanical diff and a stiffer chassis from the factory. Its just a roll-cage and semi-slick tyres away from being track spec.

The problem with Honda and the Rice brigade is pretty much isolated to North America. How Honda got that horrible reputation over there is beyond comprehension. You'd think the company that made the NXS and Integra Type-R would have a better following in the USA. But then, I guess that's why they made Acura.

Believe me, ricers over here are a special breed of stupid. Honda is probably smart keeping that car away from America. They don't want to tarnish an otherwise excellent brand. The problem with Civics isn't really the car itself. But the brand suffered anyway.

The Civic Type R is coming to the US at long last! I for one am STOKED. I'm tempted to think about buying one as my DD when I am done paying off the mustang. This is assuming they catch up to the rest of the hot hatch segment is going to, with AWD.

Its FWD but it doesn't seem to stop it. The mechanical diff keeps Torque steer under control and allows it to turn on a penny.

But as with any car, don't go into the corner too hot and you'll be fine.

Well, it would have to be a replacement for my current AWD car for harsh NY winters. That's the main reason I want AWD lol.

The really funny/ironic thing is that majority of people who hate on my V6 automatic (which automatically makes me a girl or either a homosexual who doesn't know real muscle cars, etc) are usually driving POS old cars who wished they owned a 2015 Mustang...

I may look like a homosexual driving my V6 auto, but damn do I look good doing it!:cheers:

If driving a certain kind of car determines one's sexuality...does a breakdown signal "impotence"? There everyone goes equating car preferences with sexual preferences...totally ridiculous! I have however heard of a "blown"engine.

Not owning a 2015 but I notice a lot of negative comments from the pre-15 generation. Essentially it's always around the same topics too such as it doesn't look like a Mustang anymore, or that it's not a real muscle car/Mustang/etc... if it doesn't have a V8 (don't even start with telling them that this has existed per-15 too, it's wasted on them).

I quite like the new Mustang and think Ford has done a great job with it. I'm excited to see what they have planned for the coming years but if they continue at this rate I think I have to find more garage space.

One of my xbox buddies said "you got a mustang? thats a girls car". I said "I'll take a girls car that has a v8 and 435 hp over your civic any day" (he has a 2012 Civic). I don't understand haters. Besides the little jabs I get about getting a automatic, its been mostly positive.
You should send them a link to the transmission section on here.

I don't really get negative comments and the couple of friends who would kid around with me have stopped now that they've driven it. 300hp V6 with incredible looks inside and out and handling to match is really a no-brainer.
