Ecoswag your coming from a PP Eb to standard GT both autos. You've had the new car for a couple of days now. How's the driving experience between the two models?

Does the GT feel less responsive on the road since it's not a PP. How about the day to day acceleration between the two? Obviously the GT has more balls but with the rearend gears being different maybe not so much.

On a side note I set the cruise control to 68mph on the way home and it managed 28.1mpg with 2 toll booth stops included. Not quite the 33mpg my EB got on the same trip but very good
True BUT don't forget you don't need to put premium in your GT like you did in the EB to get that MPG/Power.

So you will get about 18 gallons bought in reg for the same $$$ 15 gallons bought in your EB on premium.

Haha hopefully there is someone else on here with the time to argue about it all day now

The Eco was more responsive in the low RPMs, especially with my tune I could see myself getting a decent jump on this car. BUT the mid-high rpm range is much better in the GT so getting up to speed is very effortless and when cruising you barely have to touch the gas.

It's really hard to beat that feeling when the boost hits and it throws you back in the EB but it dies out really quickly and that doesn't happen with the 5.0 so the smooth power delivery is very noticeable even in normal driving conditions

The funny thing is that all the EB chest thumpers that so vociferously championed the Ecoboost last year are now proud owners of Coyote Mustangs. I distinctly remember how all these Mustang Ecoboosters tried to shout-me-down when I dared wager that the Ecoboost motor would not have the longevity/durability of the lowly 3.7 Cyclone motors. Those dudes even claimed I was "Butthurt" because I bought an obsolete motor that was going to be phased out. Well, that little Rodney Dangerfield "no respect" engine is still being offered. I hope that those original Ecoboosters aren't too "Butthurt", either financially, ego, or regrets! As to the 2.3 motors, I'll say that stupid mods are very expensive. And FYI, I own two ecoboosts equipped vehicles presently, both jewels.

Well there are more EB in the 10-11 second range than ones that have blown up so I would say the statements of last year are still true today.

There goes the neighborhood. Tonight I said goodbye to my EB and hello to my new GT :D

It wasn't because there was a problem with my EB or the power or sound it was putting out. It was because I no longer felt like I could trust it with all of the EBs with my build period (2014 build date) that have blown lately and the fact that my warranty was gone. I had 27k good hard miles on my FBO EB when it was all said and done. Shout out to @Livernois Motorsports for the awesome tuning. I will definitely miss all the little extras that came with the premium trim and that nice low rpm torque. But this car is one I feel like I can keep for a long time.

The new car is a TY 2016 GT auto with the black accent package. I had put down $19k on my EB so I had a good amount of positive equity for the trade. Obviously I took a nice depreciation hit on the trade. Plus the sales manager wasn't amused by how modified it was lol (I was honest). Details below:

MSRP: $35,980.00
INVOICE: $34063.00

MY PRICE: $29,651.00
FREIGHT: $875.00
TAXES: $491.00
MD. PROCESS: $300.00
DMV: $270.00
TRADE: $20,000.00
PAYOFF: $9,400.00
ON THE ROAD: $20,991.00
Going to have to change your username now lol!

You should seriously consider shopping around.

I'm 21 and pay just a scratch over $100 a month for full coverage, 100/300, roadside extras, $500 deductibles, etc etc on my EBM. The GT insurance was like $6 higher per month.
Trust me dude, I wasn't eager to throw money away.. all things considered, I'm paying a little less than other people in similar circumstances..

In any case, I don't want to derail this thread any further Lol..

Post more photos of that 5-0!!

I traded my eb last month for a gt no regrets. Over the years Ive learned its best not to buy the first version of something to let them work out the kinks...also that I wouldn't buy another turbo car, then I went and bought an EB soon as they came out. 4 banger turbo is a good platform to work off of but ford needs to work out some issues with the motor...but most likely ill keep my gt for a few years until I can get finances right to trade in on a stingray ;)

Id love to see the mustang with a inline 6 with a single turbo but here's to wishful thinking.
