CF doors...wow. Now I think I've heard almost everything but whereTF would you GET them and Lord only knows what they would cost.

Semi hassle to install too, (at least for this old man,) I would think swapping all that stuff over. If the hood is the best weight for the money and it's only ten pounds, how much would you save on both doors? Less than twenty pounds total?
Where? From anderson composites.

I've already brought down (on paper) a CFTP from 4,050 pounds down to 3,860. The OEM doors are heavy. Carbon fiber doors are 15 pounds each. Carbon fiber doors could bring the car down to 3,7xx pounds.

Why bother, eh? Ask the folks at the track attack when you go what it would do to the performance of the car to lighten it 300#.

OMG, the insanity. Lol

Aren’t the doors part of the unibody structure that protects you from side impact collision ? I thought carbon fiber doors only used in fully caged race cars.

My next thought would be carbon fiber doors, huge weight savings, but unless I put a full cage in, I dont think they would offer good protection.

Yep.

Hmm. I'm in Fl, so I will pay 6% through lethal. I'll have to compare.
Based on my experience with Vivid (and their ratings), if Lethal is willing to match (incl the 6%) you would definitely be safer going with them. Only a data point, but contrast this to Lethal:

No experience with Meraki, other than an inquiries before I bought the swing from Vivid. Meraki was responsive, but was not willing to ship to an APO. Vivid was willing to do so at a good price (positive note).

Per discussion on other thread, minus the lies and excuses, Vivid can come through at a competitive price.

Yep, I've done business with lethal before. They are good peeps who care. I'll research more.

Thanks!

I agree Tom, Blake at lethal has been amazing on everything I have done with them. I put Blake from lethal and Terrence from Signature wheels in same category amazing to work with if everyone treated and communicated with costumers like they do we would be in a much better place

I like to disassemble things.
I've had great experience with Lethal. Jared and Co. all do a good job customer-service wise.

I have been buying via Lethal for years. Alway one of my go to places. Jarred has a great relationship with Dustin Whipple, who is a friend of mine. Together some really amazing cars have been built.

Bought my MGW Shifter through Lethal, at George's advice, because Lethal ships to APO addresses for free. Funny, cause it was actually drop shipped from MGW. MGW put the shifter knob in the box prior to mailing, so it never went to Lethal. Responsive, transparent, helpful--totally different than the experience with Vivid...

Oh man, if you decided to install those carbon fiber doors without a cage, be careful out there !
I dont. It comes down to whether I want to put a bigger cage in.

I have the car down to 3,860# without going to that extreme. Its tempting because those OEM doors are HEAVY

I relayed this to Blake and Terrance.. Thank you for the kind words. We really are a group of enthusiasts here (check out our shop/personally owned cars.. our most recent addition is an Explorer ST and have a C8/GT500 both coming in!). If there's anything I can help out with, please ask. Also, for those wondering.. we do price match/beat.. so if for whatever reason we're "losing a price war"... we've got you covered. :)

Also.. whoever has received the spoiler.. please post it up!

Do you have a CFTP with these parts installed? Or have you actually weighed the OEM v the AC parts or is this weight total theory?

I know what a CFTP weighs (thanks @kilobravo) and I know what each old and new component weights. Its simple math.

Logan,
Do you mean here or on your website I have installed the spoiler, gurney flap, rear diffuser, and side splitters already.
