More than 240 in the US; only ~71 or so came to Canada for 2016, so out of 500 give or take, there are more than 400 R's for 2016 and 2017 that will be in the US.Some false statements but some truth to it as well. I own a 2016 Base Shelby GT350 as well. There were 40 Black Base Models for 2016 and I have a Magnetic Car which there were 25 made. There are only a total of 88 Base cars in the US. There are 240 "R" 2016 models in the US so the base would be more rare than the "R". 2016 was the only year that the Base was produced. I don't know where he got that the Base would be Faster than "R". The "R" has better Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, Carbonfiber wheels, and more suspension tuning & magnetic suspension so I would say it is faster around the track.
For 2016 Production #'s see link:

I know them feels man, dam I hate that shit. NOTHING worse than a lying poseur, especially when hes trying to rip somebody off. What an idiot! Its taking all my self control not to respond to one his threads here and call him out on the ad. :tsk:
Eh, 100lbs isn't going to make a drastic difference in a straight line, maybe a 1/10th of a second in a 1/4 if that. Could very well say the heavier car has slightly more traction off the line so they're null. I was only speaking in reference to track times."And yes, the R will be faster, just as the Track Pack will be a little faster than the base with the Magneride setup".
Due to its lighter weight,(no tranny & diff cooler plus fluids also no Magnetic shocks) the Base will be a little faster from a stop light than a Track Pack car.
100lbs is equal to about 1 car length off the line.Eh, 100lbs isn't going to make a drastic difference in a straight line, maybe a 1/10th of a second in a 1/4 if that. ^This, plus wasn't he always complaining about the quality of the car both mechanically and cosmetically. I may have him mixed up with somebody else.People are free to ask what ever they want, but trying to deceive or outright lie i think is pretty low.
