My car was built 2/8 the dealer says he has the c/o, what that means who knows. The nice people at FR say it has not moved. They also said they have never seen a car delivered without them seeing movement, I guess the car gets scanned as it moves. I was just wondering if the car could magically show up at dealer without any info. I'm just trying to prepare insurance and transport.

No.

Ford Performance, your dealer, or somebody will see shipment information once it's loaded to convoy or rail. Both of those sources should also have about a 5-day ETA range. Ask your dealer for an updated Vehicle Visibility Report. This is the report that shows the progress of your car from scheduling, to build, to shipment, to delivery.

As I wrote in a different thread a few days ago, this is the most painful part of the wait. You know it's built, you know it's ready to ship and/or on it's way, but you have no way of knowing exactly when it's going to get there.

Welcome to Hell.

And ETAs are not written in stone. I just blew through my 3rd ETA yesterday for my car that was built Jan4. It took about 30 days for it to be placed on a rail car, traveled on the rail for 7-10 days, rail car broke down for 7 days, car released to shipper for 5-6 days, etc. I ended up calling the company that has been assigned to transport the car from Markham rail yard to my dealer (about a 2.5 hour trip). They seemed surprised that I had called since I wasn't a dealer. Anyway, they were able to look up the car via VIN number and told me that it should finally be on a truck today for delivery late tonight/Saturday....but I won't be holding my breath!
