Alignment without caster camber plates

I just got my car aligned after installing Steeda progressive springs and they said on the front alignment it was the best they could do. I already communicated with Steeda but wanted to see if anyone was able to get it aligned within OE specs without caster camber plates. I just don’t want to wear my tires any faster due to alignment.

A tad high on rear toe and camber but overall looks good. The front camber isn't anything to worry about, particularly because you have no appreciable amount of toe. They should be able to get the rear camber to about where the front is if they push hard to move it outboard.

A tad high on rear toe and camber but overall looks good. The front camber isn't anything to worry about, particularly because you have no appreciable amount of toe. They should be able to get the rear camber to about where the front is if they push hard to move it outboard.

Looks pretty good to me, besides yeah, maybe more rear camber than I'd like. Toe on both ends looks good, and front camber is what it is. FWIW, I'm daily driving on a lot more front camber than that, you should be fine.

Thanks for the input I feel better about it. I was just concerned because I just bought new tires and was thinking they was going to wear fast.

So digging this up, should a rear camber of -1.8 to -2.0 be possible on a lowered S550, or is there just not enough adjustment?

That alignment looks pretty good to me. A lot of rear camber but it'll corner like a friggin' beast. :headbang:

Yes it is. It depends on how much you lower obviously, but at 0.5" you can still easily get -1.4 ish. At 1" drop you can get a just below -2. They have to push pretty hard to get it to go outboard though, which I think confuses techs.

-1.8 We found work very well in the rear. Yes, that can be achieved within the stock adjustment range.

My car is going for alignment tomorrow after fitting camber plates up front and rear links.
I have stock PP shocks with Swift’s springs fitted, lowering about 1” all round.
I am also going square setup with 285/35/19 tires on R350 rims for track only. Pirelli Trofeo R super sticky tires.

Suggestions on alignment..?

-2.0 fronts and rear Camber to balance out with No Toe.? Or a little 0.1 in the rear.?

I will be reverting back to stock staggered PP setup as it’s my daily driver after track time.
I would like a setup that covers street and track...

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Edited to Add.. Steeda plates and links, with rear IRS support...

Not sure if this a dead thread, but literally just got back from the alignment shop and they told me that there is absolutely no way to adjust any camber front or rear on my car. I'm thinking to myself that doesn't sound right at all, right? I mean it is possible right?

Take it to another shop. They do not know what they are talking about, or do not know how to do it. The fist shop I took mine to did not have the software in their alignment rack to do the IRS alignment on the S550.

Rear is adjustable. Take it to another shop.

Yeah, the rear adjustment bolt isn't marked, and its tucked away up in the suspension in a bit of an odd place, so a shop that doesn't know our cars and doesn't know how to actually look anything up might assume they can't adjust the rear. Its also a bit of a PITA to make fine adjustments to the rear camber, but its not a challenging thing to adjust if you know which bolt to loosen.

They did guess correctly about the front tho, front camber isn't adjustable without throwing parts or grinding wheels at the car.

Find a shop that can do their homework.

Steeda camber bolts upfront worked great for me and they arnt expensive at all if your worried about your front end.
