Just picked up a Dual SkyPro XGPS160 and tested its accuracy and precision. Figured I'd share the results.
The large meandering track is the Apple device GPS showing the route I walked in my house from kitchen to the front door. If you notice it puts me in the street and in the neighbors house a few times.
The smaller route at top left is while using the add on XGPS160. Waaaaay more accurate. This will be so much better for recording accurate lap times and autocross layouts.
Edit: the out of whack map on bottom right was created with my iPad which I just found does not have true gps. I repeated test with my iPhone and the results were better than the iPad but still worse than the XGPS160 by a decent margin. I'd say the iphones gps is sloppier by about 25 feet.
