Can I override the adaptive cruise on my 22, and have it function as regular cruise?

Yes, it's in the vehicle settings through the menu controlled by the little gear icon on the steering wheel.

Thanks for the info. My 20 premium didn't have the digital cluster setup, so I'm still getting used to it. Of course reading the manual is not an option.....

Adaptive cruise sucks in today's driving. It's a cause of congestion because people just ride in the hammer lane too slowly perfectly spaced out without trying to go around the slow lead car, or get them to move.

On top of that, better aggressive drivers like me will come up on the right and jump in the huge hole you are leaving with an adaptive cruise on the largest gap (because you are a dumbass), and then it'll make you slow down more. See it every day in my commute here, bunch of dumbed down robots driving.

That's fine, at least I'm the better driver... If you are gonna ride with your adaptive robot set on max distance, take your dumbass into the right lane and enjoy your ensure.

I prefer to operate the car versus the car operating itself. Just me though.

I love the adaptive cruise but it does annoy me when it slows me down and i do not realize it right away. There should be some kind of indication when it slows you down below your set point.

Self proclaimed driving badass because he can pass people in the cruising lane through “huge holes“ in traffic. I hope everyone is taking notes, this is amazing.

It's been my experience that the self proclaimed "Better/Excellent Drivers" are usually the ones that can't drive their way out of a wet paper bag, but thanks Rainman!

Adaptive cruise is just fine when it is used for its intended purpose. As you point out it’s the drivers. I don’t use cruise when I’m in the left lane.

Just this past weekend I was doing exactly what you claim is so dumb, sitting in the hammer lane with adaptive cruise on. We were at freeway speeds but there was heavy traffic. (This was in my SUV with my family onboard.) I keep it set relatively close, there was a safe but reasonable distance between and the guy ahead. Big macho dumbass in a lifted truck comes up 2 feet from my bumper, rides it until he can jam himself through into the next lane, gives me and my whole family the finger and continues tailgating and swerving in and out of lanes as he squeezes ahead.

In heavy traffic this is absolutely reckless behavior. You're risking multiple accidents, and for what? You're not a better driver by doing this, you aren't beating the system. You're risking everyone's safety. I get it, traffic sucks and everyone should get out of the hammer lane so you can go fast, but that's just not the reality of how things work on public roads sometimes.

Keep that shit on the track or on backroads.
