That's what happens when people get so jaded in their beliefs and try to make it sound like they are right and know what they are talking about to get their followers, it's ridiculous. I've been saying it and saying it... each model is going to have its own design cues to differentiate them apart... much the same as the stang with performance package and the wheels. To a certain degree I find it amusing but there comes a time when someone has to step in and set it straight or at least try to. Even then with all supportive evidence and fact they still continue to try to debunk it
I couldn't care less about "followers" Seabee. You Obviously are the one with an issue. I have said the exact same thing You have that each model has its Own Unique Look. Tricia Confirmed that the LE Doesn't have the ACC and I admitted I was wrong about the 50th Anniversary LE having it, However She Did Not Know what the Different Lower Grills were and She Never Answered My Question whether the Lower Grill with the Blanked Off Ends Houses the ACC Sensors when so equipped.

Yes it is My Theory and Until Tricia or Someone Else that Knows for Certain I Still believe that Lower Grill Design with the Blanked Off Ends will be the one used to House the Adaptive Cruise Control Sensors based on the Design and Placement of the ACC Sensors on Other Ford Products, as Well as Other Cars with ACC. I Really Don't Care whether You or Anyone Else Believes it or Not. If I am Proven Wrong I will admit it, but given the Evidence it just makes sense.

Posting Again... No She Didnt...

Actually No She Didn't. When I Asked Her

So can you PLEASE Clear this Issue up Tricia? Is THIS Lower Grill (Seen Here on the 50th LE for Reference Only) the Grill for the Adaptive Cruise Control? Why have we seen This Lower Grill on V-6's, as well as Base and Premium Level Eco-Boost and GT's if It's Not where the ACC Sensors are being "Hidden"

Her Last Reply to My Question was...

Sure, TampaBear67.

Let me do some more digging. I’ll be sure to post any additional info once I get an update!

Tricia

All that She Confirmed was that the LE Doesn't Have ACC.

She did say ACC wouldn't alter the appearance. Which could mean either the lower grill comes w/ a certain package and does not alter the appearance then and is hidden behind any of the grills or... it could possibly mean but less likely that the use of that particular grill will hide ACC.

But what she has said so far implies that ACC will not change the grill.

Question on Adaptive Cruise Control

I was wondering if the adaptive cruise control on the 2015 Mustang would come standard with a Forward Collision Warning in it as it is in the Taurus?
Also, How effective would the adaptive cruise be on a manual transmission?
Thanks in advance.

Yes it has Collision Warning. This has been discussed in a Previous Thred at length. Try using the Search Function of the Forum for Adaptive Cruise Control ACC

I do understand the whole concept of this feature. The only thing I am not able to understand is how this works in conjunction with a manual transmission where the cluth pedal comes into picture. The automatic transmission can change your gear automatically depending on the speed , but for a manual we do have to bump the clutch before we change the gear. Correct? So how does ACC do it for us??
Thanks in advance.

The ACC on manual only works in the gear your in if it slows down too much because of traffic you will have to put In The clutch and change gears, therefore disconnecting the cruise. It works better on the automatic, but I ordered it on my manual PP 15 GT.

I don't think anyone knows how it'll work on the Mustang exactly. But you'll definitely have to engage the clutch and row the gear to shift down. Question is whether or not this will disengage ACC or not. Some manual cars will disengage ACC if you shift gears. Some won't.

The fact I'm going with manual is another reason why I'm okay with leaving ACC off my order. That and the whole appearance debate.

I suppose I should shoot Tricia a message to see if she got any further clarification on the different lower grills.

If you put in the clutch the ACC will disengage guaranteed. For those on the fence for this option it may not be for you. I use it on my other non ford vehicles with autos and really like it so it's easy for me to order it with a manual trans, should work fine for me.

Thank you for the response.
So what about the collision warning system then? Brakes get applied independent of what gear we are in or if we are on the clutch or not?
