Hi Folks
Question on my Active Exhaust. I disconnected the battery because I replaced the steering wheel and didn't want an airbag issue. After replacing the wheel and hooking back up the battery, the next day I started the car and the exhaust was on "Normal" sound instead of quiet mode.

I know it sounds better now on cold start but my wife and neighbors might not agree. What could be the issue? It starts in "Normal" from then on?

Oh that could be it with the start times. I thought the factory setting is start in quiet mode vs Normal. I thought you cant change the start quiet with the cold start. Guess I was wrong

Nope, in fact quiet start is actually disabled from factory. You have to manually adjust the times you want quiet start to be active.

Quiet start is a manual procedure. Normal mode is in fact the default unless you specify otherwise. I have mine set to use quiet from midnight to 8 am. That covers most of my morning cold starts and keeps my neighbors happy :) That said, my "Quiet Start" is still louder than my normal used to be with my Borla S Type :)

Hit the pony button and go to exhaust modes then down to quiet start. Check the box and scroll down to the times and fill them in... Good to go.

yup, the battery disconnect just removed the saved feature for quiet start like the guys said. It also resets the auto-learning features (shift points for auto's, throttle sensitivity and other ECU-type things). I did the same thing when I disconnected the battery and started it the next morning...got a text from the wife "REALLY!?" on my way to work! lol

Actually there is no "Pony Button" that I could see to check off after. Am I missing something?

I believe the reference to the "Pony" button is on your steering wheel, shouid be right side of the steering wheel.

Not all factory steering wheels have the pony button. If you have active exhaust and no pony button, there must be some other process to access this function. Of which I have no knowledge since I have the pony button. I did notice looking at the different threads about different steering wheels, that there is a “M” button in about the same place as the pony button. I have no clue as to what the “M” button does.
