Hey everyone, I’ve been having some issues with my active exhaust. It’s usually on track mode, and when I try to put it on quiet mode it will close the flaps for a couple seconds and then open back up, and then try to close, and then open back up again. I dropped both my axle backs(flowmaster American thunder), and let the actuators hang and tried to go through the modes again, and same thing. Are the actuators bad or is there something I’m missing? I found this thread supposedly gives a “reset” process but it didn’t work for me. Thanks in advance any help would be appreciated!

Is the passenger side wiring harness chafed? That’s a very common issue. I had it happen to mine and I depinned it, cut out the bad section, soldered the leads back together and applied heat shrink.

Did you peel back any conduit and check the wires inside further down the line, not just at the connector? Sometimes the wires get stretched and will start to break inside the conduit causing shorts.

Also make sure the pins inside the connector are totally secure. Tug on each wire going into the connector to make sure they’re not loose.

I pealed back a little bit from the male end that connects to the actuator and everything looked fine but I will get a little more depth today
