I don't care for the Auto -vs- Manual debate, to each their own.
Although, auto-boxes are limited in their functionality and do sterilize the driving experience.
The one thing automatics can not do, is judge your intent or put you in the gear you want, when you want it. This personally is the only drawback I am having with paddle shifting and automatics in general.
Is that "auto-triggers"/paddles are sequential, you can short shift, or as driver, choose what your next gear will be, etc. In the A10, it can snap off gear under load quickly and if that is your need, then you can see why the 2018 Mustang's A10 is so well regarded in reviews, etc. Touting 4s 0 ~60mph times and being fuel efficient makes it a near perfect all-in-one trans choice for those who like hitting the floor with their throttles.
On another note, I am sure the new A10 enhances the EB experience and can't wait to drive a 2018 EB. I am sure many people will enjoy that experience too.
Would be nice to see if the rumored Ford GT500's DCT would be a bolt in for any Mustang. Because in the end, a Ford Racing derived DCT would be better suited for the road coarse guys and let the Mustang stand out at the track.
2-pedals or 3 ..? Because to many driver/enthusiasts it's all about the clutch! (kinda-like stump pull'en) And having a new back injury, it is a decision I am going to have to make soon. (*It would be sweet if you could upgrade your 6-manual to a DCT and slushbox* -dreaming)
